Greetings everyone,

Although I don't frequently visit this forum, I believe it is the most appropriate platform to seek help with my query. I require assistance in locating a particular website that I visited several months ago, but I can no longer remember its name. Additionally, I don't have access to my browser history. I decided to request help from this forum since the website I'm looking for falls under the category of archiving and old-school looking websites.

The following is a description of the website:

The website had a vaporware-inspired design. It had a built-in forum and allowed users to upload and download files. I believe the primary goal of the website was archiving (in a way) . Its navigation was located on the left-hand side, and it had a notebook-ish theme and style. Users could log in and register, create profiles, etc.

I discovered this website while browsing through Neocities (I believe) and other fascinating and imaginative basic HTML sites.

I realize that my request may seem like a shot in the dark, but I still wanted to reach out to the community here to see if anyone recognized the website I'm describing.

I'll try by best to jog my memory for more possible descriptions.
Thank you the help.

Sorry, but I don't think your description rings any bells. I'm relatively new to Neocities though so I would be surprised if I had the answer straight away.
I do possibly offer some help though: Have you performed a search on Neocities for the most viewed pages that are tagged with 'forum'?
I don't know if the forum you visited was popular or not, but if you haven't tried this already, it's probably worth a shot if it was even remotely popular.

I apologise for not being able to help more, I'll try and keep your request in mind during my journey through Neocities.  :ok:

Thank you for your reply! I decided to focus up and dig hard for it and found it.
It was hard to find because it was recently shutdown.

The site I was looking for was: http://anynowhere.com

I was also a little wrong with my recollection / description of the website.
I really love the site design :)

Anyway, thanks for your response and helping me out
