Hi! :smile: I'm wondering if I can load the sidebar on my website on every page? The same goes for the footer. :omg:

I do kiiiiinda want to do this without JavaScript, but no worries if that's impossible! ^^;
I just want this to look the same as it does now, but... Loading on every page.

easiest way to do this (imo) is by using iframes! you can stick an iframe in the main container for your site content, and have your sidebar links simply change which page is displayed in the iframe. that's how my site layout works, if you wanna see a working example.

this page explains a lot more about how iframes work.

Thank you so much for your response! ^_^
That said, I don't think that I want to do this method of using iframes? Mostly because I like being able to link to specific pages, I guess. Honestly, if I'm going to use iframes, I'd rather have the navbar and footer be the frames, but I don't know how to do that to where it's not noticeable,,

I'll definitely look at the guide, though -- Maybe that'll help? ^^;

This is the fix for linking in iframes: https://forum.melonland.net/index.php?topic=115.0

You can do this with a Javascript too, but then your site is unusable for anyone who has JS turned off (also its a lot more techy to setup) :ohdear:

I think iFrames or Frameset are the best way to do this on a typical site!

If you are using a static site generator like Eleventy, then you can do this too (you can make it include a standard nav on every page it generates), but that's super techy; however, it would work for your site since you're using a standard layout! (As opposed to a different design for every page, Eleventy can't really do that)
