how can I make a form?

this is for my webring! I need a way to get unlimited responses from users who want to join the webring but survey sites like type form and survey monkey only offer a single thing of 10 submissions.

So, i looked up on how to make my own and it says I need a server....this is where y'all come in. How do i make a server that collects the answers/data from the form and how can I see it ^^;

You can use GoogleForms or 123FormBuilder if you like, HOWEVER, the eternally helpful m15o also has a small form hosting service specifically for webring owners called Riku - it basically does all the server stuff for you, so you just have to make the form in HTML on your site

can you explain in more detail about how to get the server up and running? I just installed xampp so do i need to do something with that, or?
When I make an acccount the form action will send all the submissions to my account?

You make a form in HTML, you put it on your site - then you give the form the correct action address for your account.

This will make a form with 2 text boxes (name and website) and a special submit button.

When someone clicks submit, it will take everything they have written in the input boxes (the values) and send them to the URL listed in the forms action parameter (https://riku.miso.town/submit?user_id=1). So if you are using Riku, then the values of the form will appear in your account there!

XAMPP is a handy tool for testing your site on your computer, but it's not necessary here! 

I think those tutorials are prob telling you to make your own PHP server and store data using MySQL?? While that's true a professional web developer would do it that way! Thats waaayyy outside the scope of what kinda support I can offer here - you'd have to start looking into more professional web server guides to get info on that.

I also know a JavaScript script with which you can create a form and have it send the message to you in a private Discord server. It's worked for me.
