Let's talk about making Shrines!

Ooh, I love this subject!     

What inspires/inspired you to create a shrine?

Personally, I use shrines to talk about a subject or media (game/book/tv/movie/podcast) that is dear to me. I keep mine in the scrapbook section of my site, so I call mine scrapbook pages ;3. I only have one at the moment, but I plan on expanding it soon :) (next subject will probably be the Welcome to Night Vale podcast)

How do/did you make your shrines - are they simply pages talking about the topic of interest, or do they have their own entire section with specific pages, stylesheets, et. al.?

I'm not skilled enough at coding to be able to add things like maps, stylesheets, puzzles and such. So I stick to images, gifs and writing :3. But I do love customized shrines!

What do you think are some must-have aspects a shrine should have?

I think a personal connection to the subject is important. It could be something you grew up with or something that resonated with you. I love hearing about what made the subject of a shrine dear to a person.
