Hi! I'm new here, and I have a question related to spam posting.

Is spam posting allowed? I don't like to consider myself a "spam poster" but I love to contribute to several topics and in other forums- I have sometimes been labelled as a "spam poster."

I mean, most of my posts are about 30 minutes to an hour apart (save for a few) but I wanted to know the guidelines about that bcs I couldn't find anything in the rules that specificities that "spam posting" wasn't allowed.

Thanks!

I think you'd have to show us what you mean by spam posts  I don't tend to focus on posting rate as an issue; some people can write 20 very good posts in an hour. Generally if a post has some effort in it, explains its point clearly, adds something to the discussion and engages with other members in some way ~ that's the recipe for a good post!

We do have some guidelines on the wiki you might like to look at (https://wiki.melonland.net/proper_posting_guide), but I'd suggest you post as normal and if there is an issue me or another mod can contact you to point it out ^^ :4u:

Lol yeah sorry. When I say "spam posts" I basically mean that I usually post about 3-4 things within the hour (sometimes more.) I always make sure that what I post has contributions and actually relates somewhat to the topic at hand + my responses are at least 3 sentences long at the minimum.

It's mostly just that in a lot of previous forums that I have been in, the guidelines for "spam posting" vary. And while I don't personally see myself a spam poster, I have been viewed as such in the past and it's gotten pretty messy :ohdear:

I will be sure to check out that link and thankyou for your feedback
