sent!
i never received it!! i double- and triple-checked my email is spelled right and it isn't in the spam folder, so i'm not sure what's up... maybe protonmail banished it into the ether?! howdy! i googled around and found a couple online libraries + catalogs that might be of use to ya - these are all made by an artist who's put them up for free (and she seems to have a lot of other cool free resources too!) (cw for artistic nudity for some of the covers near the bottom) - seems this is EXACTLY what youre lookin' for: a print-at-home zine library! - qzap (the queer zine archive project) has a lot of stuff, idk how printable theyre meant to be but could be worth checking out - this looks like a more political collection, if that's what you're looking for - and if you want another zine sent from another forum user, me and some other students in my uni's pride collective put together a zine a few years ago that has a printable pdf still downloadable :]
thanks so much for these!! i found some good stuff!! i also found good stuff from the quarantine public library and the sherwood forest zine library as well. i dropped off a handful of zines from those sources and the ones you linked today! i would love to add your zine to the box as well, if you want to share it! that sounds nice! was there a particular theme? (pride, i assume? ) I made a printable zine for a 32bit cafe event last year. Here's the webpage, there's a printable pdf and digital version of it there. I made it printable because there's a word search in it, and I figured that it would be easier to solve printed out If you print it double sided you'll have to set your printer to flip on the short side of the page, not the long side, just so you know!
That's so cool that you have a zine exchange box nearby! I wonder if I have anything like that where I live...
oh, it looks great!! i will definitely print it out and add it to the box once my printer starts behaving properly again! it decided this morning when i was printing zines that it would not print anything out in color, and i'd hate to lose the nice washi tape details. they add a nice contrast point. if you have any spots that do art group meetups or art community center type of things, that's where the boxes are in my region! i think i've seen at least one little free library that had zines in it as well. i'm lucky to live near towns that have a lot of arts & craftsy stuff going on!! it's very cool i think! (although i don't actually go out much............... but theoretically i could! it's nice to have the option, even if i don't take it!) i am going to try to start printing out a couple things a week and plopping them in the box to make sure there's stuff for people to look at. (and i think people are more likely to put their own stuff in the box if it isn't empty! it's a little scary to be the first one to do anything). maybe i will even make my own zine(s) to put in...????

A zine exchange box is such a cool idea. If you need any more, or if you just want more zine archives to look at whenever, here ya go. Solidarity Revolution Center Zines - has a bunch of political zines. Black Zine Archive - As the title suggests. Has zines from black creators from the Harlem Renaissance all the way up to today. No More Capitalism Zines - leftist zines about everything socialism. All Sorta Zines - kinda just a hodgepodge of zines this creator had found from all over the interwebs. All music related. Also, the internet archive has a huge library of zines. You can spend hours digging though it - Internet Archive ZinesHave fun spreading zines to people. It's such a beautiful thing to share with another person.
