Your Favourite Spooky Season Songs

[wangobangy]

I listen to Halloween/spooky music all year round, so I have a few suggestions.

First of all, my favourite band is Ghost and their music is perfect for Halloween, especially their first album "Opus Eponymous" is perfect for Halloween.

Here are a few albums that I would recommend for the spooky season:

• Dead Man's Bones by Dead Man's Bones
• Satan, Sex and No Regrets by Harley Poe
• Now You Are One Of Us by The Paper Chase
• The Silver Scream (and its sequel album: Welcome to Horrorwood: The Silver Scream Part 2) by Ice Nine Kills

I would also recommend a lot of the other albums by Harley Poe and Ghost. And of course, the game soundtracks to horror games, or just spooky games in general.

[devils]

, I've been listening to it 'round this time of year since I was 12.

I don't even celebrate Halloween.

[soop]

This is *coughs* 14 minutes long but I think the vibe of it, especially the ending, perfectly capture a feeling of autumnal dread, I really love it

Eternal Darkness (Autumn) - Wintersun

This one has a really "classic" sort of spooky Halloween feel to me, psychobilly stuff

Walpurgis Night - The Coffinshakers

Another real classic

I Put A Spell on You - Screamin Jay Hawkins

This one is a little bit different but I've been obsessed with it lately, it's just such a great gothic vampire-y toxic love song hehe

Bed of Nails - Alice Cooper

[starbreaker]

Trash is one of Alice Cooper's best albums, hands down.

[Memory]

nick lutsko's got four spots on my halloween playlist with a ghost story and the spirit halloween trilogy!

heads will roll (a-trak remix)

and you gotta have the monster mash and spooky scary skeletons!!

those are all pretty normal halloween songs i think but here's one that's a little more off the beaten path! ish!! lake pontchartrain by ludo!

[fablefound]

as someone who's totally normal about music and finding music to suit every vibe in my life, i may or may not have an entire playlist for this time of year...

it's got a lot of the classics, but also some stuff you might not know, such as these:

and also this absolutely bonkers piece by duran duran i love so much:

[Snow]

Status Quo - Halloween

This song is very fitting for today. I've listened to this song every Halloween for a couple of consecutive years now, four I believe!

Cluster - In Ewigkeit

Also, this song is pretty spooky too! I feel like this song would be perfect for exploring some kind of haunted mansion on Halloween night.
