Maybe also adding the guild's crest you're in on your side profile on a post, but I can see how it would be annoying if someone is in like 10 guilds so maybe make it a horizontal scroll frame.
I feel like implementing these would make people more interested in the guild feature.

oooo, I like the idea of showing guilds you're part of on your profile! Another way to do it would be setting one guild to be "featured" on your profile would show that guild's crest as its own section, then below it would show the name of every guild someone is in?
Maybe something like this:

+----------------------------------+
                Guilds
+----------------------------------+
                    :defrag:
    [featured crest goes here]
+----------------------------------+
   guild1, guild2, guild3, etc.
+----------------------------------+

I think making guild crests as gifts could be fun- that would be more a site culture thing than an official feature, but I think that'd be pretty easy to implement as well

Text size in posts should apply to smileys. It seems to currently adjust the vertical space their line takes but not actually make them any bigger or smaller.

On a related note, there should be a setting to force them to shrink down to fit into a single line of text, so they don't break up blocks of text with lines of whitespace.

@MediocreMetastasis

Guilds now show up on your profile and below your forum frank info next to posts - the number of guilds it shows is limited but it includes a link to view all guilds if you're in MANY!

Sweet! This might give more attention to the guilds system.

I know this is a thing you'll probably reject, but.. please remove the ability/add the feature to turn it off, that would allow you to reply to newsletters, cause uh.. someone could sign up their email with an auto-responder and have a auto-replyer respond to every. Single. Newsletter that you send. thus filling up the user's inboxes with auto responders messages that they dont need!

Gmail has a feature called "Vacation Responder", which makes a bot reply to every single message that you receive with the message.

Proton has a feature similar to that, albeit, it costs money.

And yes, i know it would be rude to deny replies, but you could say the same about blocking users, or ignoring them, or even straight up banning them from the melonland forums -- it doesnt mean you should take away control from the user's because it seems not nice to do!! Besides if I want them to email me,  I would ask them to email me directly instead without replying!!

You can still say that its not very nice to accept someone's replies from your newsletter, but if you think about it twice, things like that is why we cant have nice things, because of people's auto-responders!

Its not nice to break into someone's personal space!, and you can say that it is!! Its not faaaairr melooon!!!

Hey @Melooon

Can we get a [preview] for the guild settings and notes?  :dog:

Like a preview of the note we write within the editor or a preview of the guild homepage when editing the guild settings. Just like it is when posting a reply on the forum and clicking the preview button in the code editor.

Ooph prob not :ohdear: I can look into it, but there's a lot of backend stuff that makes preview posts work on forum threads, that backend does not exist on guilds - plus guild pages are even more complex because they inject extra HTML and CSS - you should embrace the open ethos of doing things live

Alright  :dog: I can understand that this would be much of a hassle.

I already have adapted to save, switch tab and hit f5 years ago

Got another question regarding the guilds system: Any chance of getting a send PM to all guild members feature?

Btw.. what keeps the content within text field (editor) intact even when leaving the page and coming back to it after hitting the back button of the browser? I love this feature and think every forum / website should use it the same way. On some the editor box is empty when returning back to the page. I've lost hours of "work" some times in the past just because I misclicked somewhere or hit the "back button" of my mouse :D

Ability to mark a thread as unread, or have a way to have a "look at this later" notification or list would be nice?

If a bot tries to go to the melonland forums on Mondays, send them a 499 error telling them that the forum is closed on mondays.
