Hi, I would love to see your favorite characters you made for your pen and paper roleplaying needs

My current fave is..

🎕┈┈┈┈🎕❂⋯❋⋯❂🎕┈┈┈┈🎕

Name: Yanna Venae
Age: 21
Height: 162cm
Looks: Blonde, fishbone braid hair, slim, white, green eyes, turqoise tunic, a flower crown with magenta flowers and rosemary, horns with a ribbed pattern, rings on her fingers
Alignment: Lawful Good
Race: Satyr
Class: Bard Lvl 2
Background: Entertainer
Notable items: Little wand looking like a wilted flower, pan flute, a pearl a raven once gave as a thanks

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧

Yanna used to be a bartender and watched the occasional performers the bar owner hired, and was enamored with making people smile through conversation, but soon through dancing as well. Her favorite act to perform is ribbon dancing and aerial dance. She can be booked for festivals, birthdays and weddings which is the reason she is currently at the Witchlight Carnival, but as a visitor only; to get inspired by the different things she seesthere. She wants to grow and learn as a performer.
She's very agile, graceful, and physically flexible to do this type of entertainment; but she is also disorganized with items and has a hard time learning peoples names :omg: when she's nervous, she fidgets with the many rings on her fingers and sometimes juggles things absentmindedly. Her biggest fear is fire, because another dancer friend of hers used to perform with fire but got badly hurt and burned the stage down.
She has family that is mostly alive and well; her siblings are called Pantelis and Dafni.

i made a new character when i came back from indefinite hiatus in my campaign! originally i played a dragonborn druid naked rykei, but kept getting confused by new druid features as he leveled so i made a firbolg fighter named magnus... then i got kicked out because i couldn't focus on anything. now i'm on adhd meds so i was able to come back and actually be part of the game again! (i got updates on the lore and the team from my mom, who stayed playing the entire time!)

so my character now is a human rogue (arcane trickster) named peter! in terms of lore he's more of a warlock, he got his magic power after breaking into a house where a ritual was being held and the demon took a liking to him, but for combat he's just straight rogue. jumping back in with a level 12 character is rough but it's fun!

his backstory (that i keep forgetting to tell my dm) is that he was orphaned at a young age, he doesn't even remember his parents names or his own last name. he started stealing to survive, moving from place to place so he didn't get caught by police. as a teenager he started breaking into more protected houses, assuming there would be more stuff in there, and he accidentally interrupted a worshiping ritual. the cultists and the demon thing were just impressed that he managed to break down a boarded-up door and break several padlocks without making any noise... so they offered to give him some protection and education.

my longest running player character in a ttrpg was named Llanna Trilmaine (pronounced yah nah, like your character, i think, lol)

She was a human rogue of the inquisitive subclass.  She grew up in a family of nobles who helicopter-parented her for her early years, until her younger brother was born.  Her parents shifted all their attention to him because he could carry on the family name, leaving Llanna's innate rebellious and adventurous personality to blossom in her school years.  She became a historian with an interest in/obsession with widely discredited theories about lost civilizations (think Atlantis or El Dorado).

As the campaign progressed, she discovered that her latest obsession was real and linked to the evil empire taking over the galaxy (this was a spelljammer campaign :p).  But, as she got more and more involved with the politics of the galaxy in an attempt to learn more, she grew attached to another PC who was secretly the long-lost heir to the ancient civilization's throne, watched her brother be killed by an evil scientist, killed her own father for his cruel disposition and hand in her brother's death, and finally watched the aforementioned PC die after a failed move to interfere with the evil empire's plans.  This led to her eventually transforming from a wide-eyed nerd with a lot of sass into a stoic ship captain as she multi-classed into monk.

That campaign was my first and never properly concluded, but I'll always love Llanna as my first character I ever played.

I randomly rolled up a character for Trophy Gold, and she's swiftly taken on a life of her own as the campaign developed.

Obeha the poet, lured in by a devious cult who siphoned the glory of her crepuscular homey grove, has most lately descended upon an unrelated temple in the throes of celebrating their religious renaissance (the Peerless Star!). She purportedly joined the party with the goal of looting the riches (treasure hunters, ya know...) but deftly pivoted to first seeking baptism, then ascending the ranks (what she charitably calls a series of wardrobe changes involving stolen bloodied priest's garb), and finally resorting to stealing their most prized holy relic to, well, kickstart her own religion back at her destitute home

Her skills: temptation (ooh don't think I've used that one yet), passion, dissuasion (before her inversion, it was persuasion), rituals

@shevek Hope Yanna had a splendid time at the carnival (and beyond..?)!

I also have a character visiting the Witchlight Carnival! Ringaling the fairy bard (love bards), guides travelers on the Astral Plane (hence loss of any sense of time); also technically lost her sense of fashion but refuses to acknowledge it :trash:

My current campaign is set in the Game of Thrones world. My character is Barroll "Young" Blount Jr., a former maester that is now a travelling stoner bard. He plays in a band with another character in the campaign, who is equally as skilled at performance (and sleight of hand) but is not too bright. They get into situations and normally talk their way out, sometimes through cleverness and sometimes by acting like a zonked out hippie.

It's been a lot of fun and a total change of pace for me as I had only played monks before. I'm hoping to get this group to try out other RPG systems, mostly because we care way more about RP and having fun telling a dumb story together rather than fiddling with rules, but its hard to g

I don't really have any D&D characters of my own since I'm a "forever DM" by choice. BUT! My players make such cool characters and none of them are on the indie/decentraweb so I'm sharing for them!

The current campaign I'm DMing takes place in a world where magic is seen as taboo since it's known to mutate/corrupt people. It has a bit of a fairytale/low fantasy vibe. My players' characters are all members of a traveling circus. They decided this all on their own and did not consult me about it at all lol, but the idea was awesome so that is fine.

The first character is named Uta Uta and is an elven warlock. They are a jester type character that has been driven insane by the pact they made with the god of Charisma. They are now searching for a key that unlocks the artifact that sustains the curse.

Second character is named Bezeel, an artificer (who I now realize has not chosen a race somehow....  :drat: ) that learned everything he knows about magical tinkering on the streets. He works in the circus as a contortionist and has had some of his ribs removed to aid in his act. I believe his longterm goal is to make some type of godkilling weapon. Why? Hell if I know.

Third character is named Oddessa, a (I kid you not) sentient mimic princess bard. She typically takes the form of a marionette and works in the circus in the beast taming act as the beast. Her tamer is actually a friend that agreed to help her find her colony, which she's been separated from.

And that's it! I'm really excited for the campaign (we haven't started yet) and I can't wait to see how they play these characters.

One of our members was unable to make this weeks session, so I actually ended up running a quick Risus RPG 1 shot for them. I really liked it and hope to be able to DM more soon.

so i just finished a small campaign, am part of an online pathfinder campaign, and am about to start a hunter campaign. i'll detail all three here :)
finished 5e campaign
i was running a kenku bard. i had like, one chance to use my charisma to soothe a crowd and rolled a nat 1. decided from this that my bard is super awkward and can only bust out the charisma when absolutely necessary. also a bit of a weird one, making very blunt matter of fact statements that took some NPCs off guard. their room had a boarded up window and writings/paintings scrawled all over the walls, along with a pile of blankets on the floor that acts as a bed. their main instrument was a hurdy gurdy
online pathfinder campaign
in pathfinder i am playing a psychic vanara with nephilim ancestry named ano. they're cryptic, a bit sassy, sarcastic, and a bit quiet. very much prefers to let others do the hard work whilst he cleans up at the end. they're also very hedonistic and self serving, but is not cruel about it and will help others if asked. they have 5 siblings, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. they're the oldest and left home at a young age to follow occult teachings, though eventually he'll decide that solitary occult studies suit him better. he knows my brother's character (an orc bartender) because he had a stint working there to save up money for food and nice shelter than can be transported (so not like an average tent that is meant for a few nights at most, more like a tent you could stay in for months at a time). currently we are fighting dream spiders and trying to stop the boundary between dreams and reality from blurring more than they have already
hunter campaign
i have a character built with the demeanor of caregiver but the nature of sadist. the idea in my mind is a "angel of death" nurse archetype. she is exceptional with medicine/pharmaceuticals in particular, can do taxidermy, and is manipulative as hell. she has an addiction to weed and xanax, she's short (4'3"), and has emetophobia. for merits, she's coldly logical and sanctity. basically she is not swayed by emotions and everyone views her as pure and innocent, trusting her even when she is definitely not trustworthy, and getting lesser punishment. her alternate identity (what everyone knows her as) is hope holliday, and her real name is desdemona graves. she has 3 contacts. her dealer, the highest up at the local hospital (we are basing the campaign on the area around where i live), and i think i will let my brother (gamemaster) choose the third. her personality is sweet, quiet, polite, a bit timid... at least outwardly. on the inside she is incredibly dismissive, irritated to explosively mad, and typically trying to figure out ways to hurt the persons involved in the conversation most. she works as an end of life care nurse and definitely does not (wink wink) use it as an outlet for her sadistic tendencies. i have never played hunter before but i am very excited to learn and start ^_^

I'm also kind of a forever DM so I don't get the chance to play much, but when I do I usually play as my human wizard Dev Devin.

He's been described as a "dirt wizard". He's got your typical wild hair and beard with the pointy hat and robe. But he is my chaotic good character and I play him like the magic has turned him into a kooky crazy old man who looks at you funny, talks to himself and pulls out half eaten food from his pockets. He also uses prestidigitation to make cartoon effects happen in real life like exploding star shapes and tweety birds when he gets hurt. When I DM, he lives in town and the players can visit him to identify their magic items or get other types of magical assistance. He takes magic items instead of money as payment which the players like since I give out a lot of magic items, and I like because I let Dev keep those items when I play as him.

My other character was made for a Curse of Strahd campaign. I don't really know much about actual DnD lore, I like homebrewing my own stuff. So when I was asked to join a Curse of Strahd campaign I was just excited to play even if I had no idea about anything of the lore. I really like Castlevania though so I basically made my character a Belmont.

His name is Erik and he's your typical, studly vampire hunter. He's got a whip and throws magic crosses and things. I have fun roleplaying this guy as if he's straight from a classic Castlevania game and play him as lawful good at all times. I even designed his mini to look like the pose of Simon Belmont from the NES game.

And my other character I gravitate to is named Ian Clutch. He's kind of my multiverse hopping character. I made him for a Star Wars campaign a looooong time ago, but I usually bring him back for one shots or new systems. He's a scoundrel type who is also very smart and usually gravitates towards INT based classes or roles. His most recent adventure is in a system called Delta Green, a supernatural TTRPG based in the 90s, so he's found himself as a computer hacker tracking down aliens that have landed on Earth.
