Howdy y'all

Hey folks!   Like many on here I've joined in search of an active forum community after cutting out most mainstream social media. Growing up I spent a lot of time on GameFAQs or SmashBoards and have been looking for a forum to hang out and socialize on. If that didn't make it obvious, I'm into videogames and especially fighting games (currently have been grinding Tekken 8). Also into anime/manga and would appreciate any retro series or OVA recommendations . Some of my fave Anime: cowboy bebop, porco rosso, golden boy, perfect blue; Manga: Berserk, Kimi ni Todoke, Vagabond.

Haven't gotten into making my own website yet but I can already sense the growing envy checking out others' sites so I'll probably start sooner or later. Looking forward to getting to know the other MelonLanders

Hello and welcome to Melonland's Forum ! GameFAQ brings me back to the time I played my GameBoy Advance for HOURS. It was a good time. I also see "Golden Boy" and is it the anime where a dude pulls an impossible bike stunt to impress a woman on a motorbike ? That's still amazing to watch after all these years !

Yeah exactly the one! It's six episodes of a drifter learning new jobs/skills while swooning over the women and it's just a lot of fun. By the end of each episode the women fall for him only to realize he's already drifted away to the next place. The motorcycle episode especially pushes the boundaries of what can be considered ecchi anime but it's still so funny. It has all the great 90s anime aesthetics with the big hair, detailed painted backgrounds and grainy texture which I love.
