How do i get my addon to install on Firefox?

Ok, this has been super annoying all the time. Ive been trying to install my own addon and I literally cant. Every time i try to, it says its corrupted, and I tried to install from my addons account page and then add the necessary files in and it disables the addon. You might wonder "why not just sign with those files in the zip?" Well i cant, cuz when I do, the validation fails cuz it finds a bajillion errors with the very necessary javascript files for things like using "return" or whatever. Its such a pain in the butt cuz I cant download my own addon cuz its apparently unsafe even though I made it. Why cant I just sign my dang addon, it works perfectly fine in Firefox.

Annoying thing about browsers, but necessary security measure to avoid randos from installing malware addons from random websites...

This link from MDN tells you how to load the extension temporarely but that's... well, temporary.

The best way to have your own extension served to yourself is to publish it on addons.mozilla.org

Alternatively if submitting it is not an option for you, you can try this suggestion from stackoverflow. Just be careful because you'd be disabling an important security feature in your browser.

As this reply will likely leave you with some frustration, let me remind you: security is the enemy of convenience. It would be more convenient to not lock your house door and just enter without having to carry keys or mess with them every time you go back home, but we lock doors because security is more important than convenience.
