HI! i know it's a little close to closing to do an intro post but i really wanted to do one today because i just joined !!  my name is foolcrum57! you can call me foolcrum or any nickname derived from that. i'm an 18 year old college student from New York who's studying animation&illustration as a degree.

my main passion will always be art. i'm mainly a digital artist but am not afraid to do physical stuff when i have the time and resources/money for it. however, if it wasn't obvious enough, my biggest interest is object shows. I have my own extremely convoluted object oc universe but my favorite object show is BFDI, and i am the biggest fan ever of the most underrated character, Roboty (that red thing in my icon and signature!).  I have a bunch of other interests though, mostly a bunch of indie games. you can read about those on the about page of my personal website. You should also go look at the website attached to that about page, my pride and joy since it's conception when i rejoined the indieweb  not so long ago in november of 2024!

i love creating because it's a look into someone's soul. if you- yes you- do any kind of digital art or have any kind of handmade personal project, it requires a certain amount of vulnerability. the time and effort something takes, plus the creative energy and the knowledge, i truly do think it becomes a part of you, and even though we are miles away it feels like i get to look into a chunk of your soul you've laid out for me. or a chunk of your brain, depending on what you believe in, i suppose. i get spiritual about the sacredness of nonreal manmade creations sometimes ;^_^ 

i don't have my room or about page set up, but I promise I'll get onto that  soon. for now, it was nice to meet you!

I hope you will enjoy this place, there's a bit of everything for everyone so you should find something that interests or pleases you if you dig around ! I do love your C-Rom sona, there's something appealing and I really like the (probably unintended) word play with CD-Rom and serum, whic would be the opposite of a virus. Quite clever indeed
