Hi all! My name is Fawn and I'm on a journey to cultivate my web experience to be one free of stress, algorithms, and the general nastiness that has been sprung upon us in recent years.
I'm fairly new to the space, but mine is a tale as old as time; spent too much time on the Neopets forums as a child, taught myself the basics of HTML for my user lookup, and carried that small skillset over with me to Tumblr. I don't know when I fell away from the interest, somewhere in the midst of the boom of Facebook and the like, naturally. I've been yearning for a space like the old web for a few years now, after realising I did in fact have a problem with phone addiction and I was not in fact immune to brainrot. 
It wasn't until last year when my dear friend made his own site that I discovered these kind of spaces still existed/are returning, and I've been thinking about it but doing nothing about it until now. Around six(?) months ago I made my first site on Neocities but fell away from it due to general life stress. I've since returned to this part of the web and have moved over to Nekoweb and have so much inspiration and motivation. I'm currently just editing free to use templates on my site but I'm hoping down the line, with pratice and time, I can make my own dream site from scratch. Regardless I'm pretty proud of what I've managed to accomplish so far with the minimal knowledge I have!
While I was waiting for my application to be accepted here, I saw a lot of people linking their SpaceHey profiles so I dove in there last night and I'm in love, feel free to add me over there, I've been loving engaging with others so far! ^-^

I've been yapping for a while now so I'll wrap it up but tell me about your week or any weekend plans! I've had a bit of a rough week and my sleep schedule is on another planet so I'm taking it easy this evening and doing some reading and maybe playing some peaceful mode Minecraft. Hi, welcome to the forum!! My week has been overall okay, but a little messy emotionally. I'm probably going to play Minecraft later after I finish Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, and I'm also planning to go to Build a Bear sometime this weekend if my parents will drive me!!

I've been thinking about moving to Nekoweb too... what's it like compared to Neocities? Is it harder to navigate? P.S. I fed your Tamanotchi for you :)

I feel you on the emotionallly messy, things feel so off for my friends and I at the minute. I hope things settle for you soon!! I hope you enjoy Minecraft time :) I've been watching a very chill series from one of my comfort Youtubers and it's had me get the itch agian, I just get so overwhelmed with everything there is to do and feel like I never fully learn the ropes 

I really like Nekoweb! It's much smaller in it's userbase but I prefer that, at least right now. I wouldn't say it's harder to navigate, no. I had no issues getting set up and editing stuff, it's quite similar with the dashboard and editor (I've been told it's not recommended to use Nekoweb's/Neocities editors but I am lazy and don't listen haha). I definitely recommend giving it a shot! And thank you for the Tama food :3

i'd just like to say that your site is absolutely gorgeous-- everything is so cohesive and pleasing, it looks wonderful!! i'm also a stardew valley fan too yay :3

this weekend i am going to michael's to get a sketchbook for my friend. she's really into art and she's moving out of town this summer, so my friends and i are making her a little scrapbook of fun times and memories we've made with her, while leaving the rest blank so that she can keep writing in her adventures! i'm sad to see her go but i'm also excited to make something for her

Thank you so much Shrimp!! I've been finding it hard to accept compliments since everything is just an edited template right now, but I did put a lot of work in to customise all of it and make it my own, especially the homepage 
A scrapbook is such a thoughtful gift! I would absolutely sob if I was given something like that haha. I hope you're able to enjoy the rest of the time you have with your friend, I don't know if you want suggestions but I think it would be lovely to get a disposable camera for your final hangouts together and you could print those off for your wall or a scarpbook of your own
