I think most people here know what I mean when I talk about
Roblox.
The game was released in
2006 with one goal: to bring players from all over the world together and give free rein to creativity. In and of itself, it's a good basic idea. But since the
coronavirus pandemic, the hype surrounding the game has increased dramatically. There are now over
380 million active players on Roblox
every month 
Reader: “Okay, but that's good for Roblox, right?”Yes, it is, but the real problem with all this is not Roblox (although if you think about it a little more, it is a bit...) but the players themselves. If you take a look at what's currently going on on Roblox:
insults in text chat and voice chat, online dating, pedophiles, and content that is absolutely not child-friendly. And the worst part is: Roblox isn't doing anything about it
I know you could argue that there have been countless attempts to get this under control. But it's gotten so bad that Roblox can't deal with it anymore! For example, you get banned. No problem, just create a new account and no one will check
You don't even have to provide an
email address or phone number Ultimately, this has now led to Roblox being restricted to
ages 16 and up.
I should also mention that I played Roblox for a long time.
And yes, looking back, I think it was a stupid idea to invest money in it.
But everyone has to decide that for themselves.
