Yesterday, I finally realized my plan to setup a mumble-server on my old Rasberry Pi :).
My intention for this was mainly to use it when playing Hedgewars or SuperTuxKart with friends - but if anybody here would like to use it (either to join one of our games, or to use it with friends of their own, or to meet people from here), you are more than welcome. To do so, you will need to download and install
Mumble. It works very similar to TeamSpeak - after installing it, a wizard will be there to help you to configure it.
You can reach the server using
IP: monkeytemple.hopto.org
Port: 64738
You'll get a warning about a bad certificate - please ignore this. After joining, you'll need to register yourself. To do so, just right click your own username and press "Register". Afterwards, you still won't be able to use it - accounts need to be approved. Just send me a PM with your username (feel free to bring friends who aren't registered on MelonLand, if you want to use the server with them - in this case, please send me also their usernames, and I'll approve!). This is a security measure to keep unfriendly people outside. I expect everybody to respect and honor their fellow human beings (and will ban those who do not - I hope that it works out, but if you notice anything fishy, please shoot me over a mail).
Normal mumble logging (IP connections, written messages, but not what is said via voice) is active. This data won't be shared or used by me. The server is based in Germany - so I guess it won't work out well for people from other continents, but you can try it anyway - maybe it works!
