I have a Sony Xperia 10iii, solely because it was (a) affordable and (b) compatible with Sailfish OS.

It's fine. It runs Sailfish, which is literally the only thing I want or need it to do.

i am using a google pixel 5. this is my second pixel phone; before this i had a 3xl. i really like it because it gets updates faster and doesn't have a ton of pre-installed apps i'm never going to use.

when i got my first smartphone, i rooted it and i kind of want to try doing that again. but i need to look further into it; i also don't use it as much as my computer so it may not even be worth it for me anymore. i may also just wait until i inevitably have to get a new phone since i've had this one for a bit.

dumb phones are also something that interests me: i miss physical keyboards on phones! but again that is something i need to further research before pursuing.

Motorola Moto G Power 5G 2023.

Alas, it is not rooted, I'm too much of a wuss to try to.
But one day I would love to use an Android based OS that isn't supplied by Google.

I also want an Android based flip phone or even a dumb phone (KaiOS is interesting to start with).

i'm a big fan of rugged phones with good battery. it's because of constant physical danger i live (and lived) in, and because i really loved hiking (before our forests became unsafe because of the mines). i use HOTWAV (W10 Pro), and honestly it's so protected and thick that i'm worried about the floor if my phone would fall.  :eyes:

and what i like esthetically:
rugged thick phones (obviously),
flip phones (don't use, but i had one when i was a teen),
phones with wide keyboard (like BlackBerry)

I have a very old iPhone 8s, and I desperately want an Android, but my family is an Apple family unfortunately.

Currently rocking an iPhone SE 2020, it's chugging along nicely and I've yet to run into any performance issues. That may be due to me basically only using it for music, navigation, and call/text though. I also have the screen set to greyscale so as to dissuade me from using it for much else.

If I were to get another phone, I'd probably consider one of the RAZR series, but I'm starting to err toward getting a dumbphone if I'm able to convince people to be okay with me not having iMessage. Unfortunately, Apple products are kinda the default expected phones around here, and most of my friends have iPhones, so iMessage is almost a necessity for things like functional group texts.

I recently switched from a mid range samsung galaxy to an HMD 2660 Flip, i really enjoy not being plugged in all the time when i go outside and its made me scroll less. It works as a phone and thats really all i need it to do since i got an ipod mini for music and podcasts.

I thought 'oh cool I'll take a pic of my phone to show it off' then I remembered that it can't take a picture of itself and also that Irken technology is secret...

I don't have the latest and greatest of everything tech, phones included. But I'm also one that is okay if it works. If it's not broke, why fix it?

Current phone is Samsung Galaxy A14. Could do without the constant nag about using the AI features (no thanks) but works for the most part. Biggest issue so far is that I can't really multitask much as it does away with my music player due to memory issues from what I read. I have doubts about it and tried everything I could to fix the issue.
Even the family tech geek doesn't know everything I'm sorry to say. Part of it is due to how the new Android OS works, some of it is on the apps for memory leakage issues (dat you, Firefox?) - but annoying nonetheless. I gave up trying to find a solution and just initiated a workaround, which is to not multitask when I can.

My new phone is the lovely Kyocera 902KC! I got it back in mid-May and so far I've absolutely loved it. The only slight annoyance is that sadly it doesn't support GPS over here in America (it's imported from Japan) so I can't access the weather from it, but I can do that from my computer anyways. I've sideloaded Whatsapp and KakaoTalk onto it, as well as a 3rd-party SMS app that has better group message support, and it works absolutely amazingly! My favourite feature (besides the alternative Android launcher catered to its form factor) is the external display--you activate it by pressing a button on the side, but it has three modes you can cycle through: one displays the time (and date, depending on which size setting you choose), one displays the cell signal and battery, and one displays how many steps you have using the built-in pedometer!
