mine right now is still under construction at the moment, but it's finishing up!
https://cynderthekitsune.nekoweb.org/main

firstly i just wanna know if it's able to run on an old computer?
i remember Nekoweb in general just straight-up refused to load on my 3DS's browser so that's not a good sign. but at least in theory? in practice?

my own computer's old but not old old, it's a high-end subnotebook from 2013 but i mean can it run on computers from the 2000s? 90s? whatever..

I can't confirm whether it works on older PCs since I'm typing this comment on a fairly new laptop (though it's working fine best I can tell on FireFox), but the site itself looks pretty solid! A lot of "computer" themed websites tend to use a more hacky, green-on-black aesthetic, but I like the lighter color palette you went with alongside all the wacky advertisements / logos. It really feels like your site with all the personalization, and I'm excited to see where you take it moving forward!

I'm also going to submit my site: https://gizmoswebsite.neocities.org/ again since I've massively overhauled the design. When I first posted it, everything was incredibly bare-bones. The main page in particular was pure HTML, with the only CSS being in my articles (and hardly any at that). However, while there's nothing inherently wrong with simple websites, I wanted something a little more... exciting. Something that pushed my webdev knowledge and made it obvious that I actually put effort into the site. Ultimately, I went with a book-like design since I haven't seen it much before, and I essentially use my site as a journal anyway. So far, I've finished the index page, and I was hoping to receive some tips / feedback before I embark on the long journey of retro-fitting all my pre-existing writing into the book format (both on the design and coding front, implementing this was very much a trial-by-fire for my CSS / JS skills and a lot of my code is probably janky af).

Heres my website! im going for a 90s web feel.. but i want it to be a bit more unique! I only really know basic HTML, so any HTML that could be used to inhance my site would be extremly useful! Critiques also welcomed, as i really need it. My sites basically been only a thing where no one comments on it lol!

I'm going to submit my personal website again because I'm in the middle of a complete overhaul. Before, I was basically working off of a modified template. Now I'm switching everything over to custom layout. This means there are a bunch of links that don't work (mostly on pages I haven't updated yet or links that will lead to pages that don't exist yet), but otherwise I think it's looking good, I'm just curious if anyone has any suggestions.

I love the look of the dream sequences! Art in general is pro looking and consistent.
So far the story hasn't really grabbed me. The characters don't have much in the way of desires or distinguishing personalities. The plot feels Higurashi-esk but hasn't distinguished itself yet. Nothing wrong with a slow burn, but I wish there was a more intriguing hook to hold on to.
I like the irl connection, hopefully it will have more presence as the story progresses. Soundtrack is lovely, too.

I agree with @e- that the art is gorgeous. It's a great style for a webcomic. And I also agree that there isn't a lot of distinguishing character traits for the cast; I'm twelve pages in and didn't know anyone's names until I looked at the characters page, and it's unclear to me what the actual plot is going to be. I love the setting and will definitely keep reading, though!

As for the site itself, would there be a way to make it so that when you click the button for the next page, it automatically scrolls you to the top? It's a little thing, but I noted that I had to hit the button, then scroll up past the art in order to read the page.

thank you both for the feedback!!! yeah, i do really worry about whether or not i've made a strong impression with the characters. i'm considering making a few minor revisions to the first set of pages dialogue ways and maybe that'll help more? either way, thanks for the response!  :dive:
i did originally consider including small "intro" text boxes when each character shows up with their name & a small sentenece about them, but i kind of worry that it'll be too on the nose? it's not too difficult to add, though, so maybe i'll revisit it.

i'll be the first to admit that plot (especially hooks) arent really my strong suit, so it's super helpful to know that it's not as strong as i want it! i do want it to be a slow burn, but it should be a slow burn that people actually want to read. what kinds of things hook you in re: horror mystery? (i also super appreciate the higurashi-esque comment!)

as for the site scrolling-- i hesitate a little bit to do that just due to accessibility reasons, the lack of motion control might not be great for folks with sensory disabilities. if i can make a toggle somewhere it'll definitely be on my to-do, though.
