Hi all - hopefully this is in the right place! I collect aqua mice (not only the ones that are 'Aqua' branded but any that I like the look of, though I must admit I prefer the ones that have the same sort of form as the 'Aqua' ones). The 'Aquatek' ones (such as the Care Bears and mini Hello Kitty ones) are pretty cute as well but don't quite scratch my brain in the same way so I've managed to avoid collecting them... For now. With that being said... Anyone here got an aqua mouse? Two aqua mice? THREE...? Post them here, I love seeing what's out there! Most of the ones I have I can't find any trace of on the internet, the sheer undocumented variety is part of what I love about them - it's like a scavenger hunt. My aqua mouse collection is here! and below:

I am working on a spreadsheet of all aqua mice that I've seen online and will hopefully post that somewhere as a collaborative thing as well. :)

Oh these are just wonderful! I can't decide if my fav is the green one because that's my favourite colour, or the Cogeco one for the beautiful computer figurines inside. I never had a mouse like that but indeed I had liquid shaker gadgets back in the day (several of these were pens- that was my personal fixation) and I was, of course, obsessed.
Along with coloured transparent plastic and desk toys like the 8 ball and desk golf (but also all those silly screensavers and other computer gadgets!), aqua mice def come from an era that tried to make the office job less drab and grey. Considering how bleak times are now, I wonder why this trend hasn't been brought back yet!

Pretty sure you know this already but if you don't, LGR made a video about aqua mice!

Do they still make those in 2026?

I really want one, but the genuinely old stuff gets sold to collectors for very high prices, so I'm not sure they are actually affordable for somebody like me.

Make sure to take good care of them.

I knew aqua-mouses were a thing, but I had no clue Intel, M&Ms, the BBC had their own too, that's hilarious. I wonder how many models exist out there?

Yes there are still some that are being made, on big chinese stores like temu and alibaba, but the quality compared to the old ones is very lacking, you can see in the LGR video that was posted earlier. There are also Frutiger Aero branded shops that re-sell these same cheap mouses for a premium price, which you should avoid buying from.

The Cogeco makes me happy too due to the amazing little figurines! There's a TV, a landline phone, and a computer. They are impressively detailed considering they're just foam(?) floaties in a mouse! I wanted to use that one for my work mouse, but it's optical and the red light ruined the blue vibe (I'm just... like that... with colours haha). The Mecca Bingo pink one is now my current work mouse, but they are all functional which is cool! :D I think some places are trying to bring them back but they seem generally maligned due to quality concerns - I don't own any of those so can't comment but I've heard tales...

I have seen that video but thanks for posting it! It's intriguing to see the wide world of mice that are out there!

They are very loved and cared for, trust me. <3 I do also use them (gently) haha and don't just snap up every one I see (want to leave plenty for others). The market for them is a bit ridiculous at the moment! Some have been expensive, but all of mine are older ones to varying degrees (most recent is the Mecca Bingo one as that's their 2010 logo, all the others are from a fair bit earlier 00s). Most I've managed to get hold of for around £15-£20 on eBay / Vinted, it is worth keeping a lookout. Then again, I saw a Pepsi one on eBay recently for £1000+ and was... baffled. I doubt anyone would pay that!! I hope you can find one for a reasonable price, they are out there for normal prices periodically but there are definitely people trying to capitalise on nostalgia with sky-high prices...

Soooo many! I'm putting together a spreadsheet of every one I've seen pics of online. It's actually wild how many weird and wonderful iterations of them exist! I have a strange soft spot for the pharmaceutical ones that have meds/tablets or optician's ones with little eyeballs floating in them... It just feels so silly to have a funky mouse for that sort of thing. Also you just reminded me it's 'mouses' not 'mice' for computer... mouses. I always forget!

Omg I nearly forgot about these things, they're so cool, and your collection is awesome! I'd love to see the spreadsheet you plan on making, they're so nifty and I'd love to get my hands on one of 'em at some point. The Cogeco and Intel ones are probably my favorites, and the M&M one is just so fun.
