Hello! :seal:

So, I've been working on a worldbuilding project for a bit now. I am not one to publish most of my writing/art or even write much, but this universe captured my brain so much that I had to make something out of it.

I also wanted to brush up using my 3D modeling skills. And after some deliberation, I got an idea: try to make an in-universe ad. And from there, it gave me a question to ask you: do any of your worlds also have looks into what the ordinary person would see in a newspaper or in the ad breaks, if your world has the tech for that? What would be advertised to the normal lil' dude?

My world is firmly within Cassette Futurism, so...

Making the render was really fun and I kind of want to 3D print a replica now. I'm tempted to work on a computer or a phone next!

That 3D model is gorgeous and I love the idea of printing it! The colors and ad copy are really solid too, it straight-up feels like a real ad. I like the design of the storage device too, very chunky

My scifi world is a mix of hi-tech cyberpunk space travel with lo-fi analog technology. I made an ad that would be found as a flier on a wall at a bus stop or spaceport for a mass-produced airlock. The thing is pretty reliable as far as these products go, and is a popular choice among typical space-faring folks who just need something cheap that works.

The idea behind the poster is that while the ad itself is very cynical and trying to sell something with as many lies as it can get away with, they actually used the airlock in space and hired a model to stand there and look at the planet. In the moment that photo was taken, the model was legitimately awestruck by the beauty of the universe, watching the corona of the sun crest over the edge of the planet they called home. So the cynical blood-sucking ad company accidentally captured the exact moment their model experienced the life-changing Overview Effect. And they used that photo without realizing the significance lol

Here just to say the ad is really rad!

Indeed pepper is right: everything looks like a real ad! Palette, payoff, size chart, top notch.

I am not a world-builder myself but sometimes I pick up what friends write, and having little touches like these is what makes the whole thing come alive. So congrats to you (and pepper too, nice backstory!)
