what to put on about page / about page share

While working on revamping my homepage, which is mostly just shuffling stuff around in fun ways, I got distracted adding stuff to my about page. I feel like I always forget everything I like when I try to actively list them... anyone have fun ideas for stuff to put on there? So far it's some basic info, some blinkies, a handful of currently listened to albums and fav horror movies!!

About pages are some of my fav pages of any given site, so if you have your own I'd love to see what you've done w the place hehe

Mine is pretty simple. My online name, email address, where the site's name comes from. I should add some buttons to mine.

I think my site's index is almost as informative as the about page. It briefly covers what i'm up to and how my links are formatted.

Yours surprised me with how different it looks with javascript enabled. And the loading screen is something i don't think i've ever seen before.

My about pages are way less playful but store quite some information nonetheless. Right now I have them divided in "About the Page" https://www.valycenegative.it/?Section=About%20The%20Page and "About the Author" https://www.valycenegative.it/?Section=About%20The%20Author but in my upcoming update they will be fused into one single section.

I have added: a brief explanation of the site itself, a condensed site map (my site is actually very straightforward so my map is more of a description of what you can find in any section), a version history with screenshots of past skins/color palettes, won awards, a brief description of what I do/my artistic influences, my fanlists and my adopted web plushie-they're Dragonites. They're all just Dragonites. 

Something that you could add is a list of favourites! You already have albums and movies but you could go further with fav color, food, drink, season, media characters of choice, clothing to wear, games... if you have it nowhere else on your site you can also add some Q n A explaining your indieweb manifesto and the idea behind presenting your work and yourself with such a layout. I have it in my dedicated FAQ section where there's also more disclosing about site and me (site creation history, my usual usernames, my works' origins, so on).

Also this goes beyond your question but your page titles, main logo, and menu graphics??? Omg! I love them! They're so Clayfighter like! I've never seen similar styles anywhere! How did you make them? I'm in awe! *O*

Thank you! I used to have a "plain" theme on my site, maybe I should re-enable that. As much as I love messing around with complex CSS and HTML, I admit sometimes thinking about the resources used stresses me out... Plain mode could be a way to get peace of mind lol. Vattu is one of my favorite webcomics of all time so GREAT TASTE!

JEEZ i didn't see that there were actual replies to this, so sorry!! I make most of these assets myself. The clay images are made using Blender and the Clay Doh add-on by SouthernShotty, and most of the photo assets are bashed together using things I find on the web, like paper textures. I try to keep a list of credits where possible for where I find the images, and also make an effort to try finding free use assets, but it's harder and harder on the internet to find those >:-P I need to add a website manifesto back onto my about for sure!

mine contains a short very short actual "about me" section, an faq, fun facts, my interests, my quiz results, some personality stuff, my favorite things, and my favorite characters!! though i want to add more to the actual about me section itself, because i feel it's pretty bare... eep!! idk. there's something to be said about revealing your entire person on the internet but id like to not be SO mysterious, if that makes sense... idk.

I know exactly how you feel LOL. It's hard to find facts abt yourself that are mundane enough to not be too revealing but not TOO mundane that they're not interesting at all!! Thank you for shoebill compliment :-)

I am quite proud of my about page! It's quite short compared to everyone else's here, I should prolly add my pronouns, at least...,
BUT!
I personally am a huge fan of my lil ID buttons, a quick, succinct & visual way to communicate a lot of info at once! Highly recommend.
Blinkies are also a nice visual way to show interests and alignments, and I've made a showcase of my top 5 videogame which can say a lot about someone.
