Poetic cups, and other observations

I visited the kitchen this evening and I observed this interesting arrangement of cups and one bottle cap. I thought there was something a bit sorrowful about their gathering here. Shadows looking away, distance keeping them apart, and the inherent quality of the difference between each, small and dark and bright and clear. Empty, complete and waiting for a future.

i love that it's the relations between things that give them meaning. even the wood countertop supplies a context. they're just forms and textures but the feeling they make when put together... what does it mean!!
