Personally I love granny smith apples.
Not only are they in one of my favourite colours, but IMO is a great mix of sweet and sour. More on the sour side but that's why I love it!

I adore honeycrisp apples, but omg are they expensive! I was at my local supermarket and the organic ones? $5 a pound!
(I don't normally get the organic ones lol)

Simple, the best apple is that one that doesn't have any name. That one that grows completly deformed and out of control in the wild. Unfortuneatly those aren't availale for 10 months a year, so in that meantime, I pick Topaz and Elstar. Boskopp on a "funny" day, the most different tasting apple. I wonder if you get those kinds of apples at your stores, or if they are some continental European stuff.

I'm quite fond of Cameo apples. Not only are they delish, they're also really pretty... I mean, an apple with stripes and dots? That's pretty stylish.

i'm jumping on the granny smith hype train as well. i love tart foods (and will often eat fruits while they're slightly underripe for this exact reason) so they're absolute peak apples for me.
