Hey! My name's Maddie, AKA HunnyBon.

I've been snooping around this website for a bit since I've seen it, and the interests people have here have correlated quite a bit with mine. I like old retro computing, and I love its aesthetic. I'm very interested in various games, and I love to program and someday make my own.
I speak:

I also like to write! Although my writing does not go very far into the public eye, it's mostly just me and a couple other goobers on a private Discord doing collaborative writing and a post on Cohost. (I'm on Cohost but I usually just post dumb stuff.) I've been meaning to join this site, but I've also been wanting to update my website before I did. I haven't really done that, so I've been kind of sitting there wondering if people would hate it, which is why I kind of delayed myself from joining. I also haven't been on traditional forums for actual years?? So, I kind of really wasn't sure if I had my sea legs, so I got cold feet.

I hope to be a good part of Melonland.

There's so much I'm proud of with my writing, but a lot of it is on Discord, and you can probably imagine how hard it is to actually keep certain things actually archived. I've been really wanting to throw out some of the lore I have into the world, a portion of my website could be dedicated to it, I've been thinking...

Oh, that's a super interesting point; I don't think I ever considered Discord as a medium of written material, but it totally is! Also definitely! If you wanted to preserve its Discord context you could even design the site like a kinda chat window!

It's not so much specifically that it takes place on Discord, so it wouldn't particularly fit to be designed around the constraints of being in a chat window.
Me and my friends like to separate "chapters", or scenes, across threads, basically separating all of it into readable chunks that we can name ourselves. The creator of each thread is the so-called "DM" that leads. I'm not looking to archive all of that, that would take god knows how long, I'm more-so aiming for sharing characters, lore, main ideas, etc, in a fancy catalog, I'm inspired by a particular concept album that the name's escaping me for the moment, where it had a website where essential lore was all laid out, but you had to read about each character and part of it to get the bigger idea.
