I love sites and/or site pages that are completely dedicated to documenting and talking about niche or super-specific stuff! I think that the ability to make whole sites about such topics, when someone is passionate about them, is one of my favorite things about the indie web.

Here are some of my favorite select examples of this! Feel free to drop your own below.

1. https://vintagefursuits.neocities.org/
Exactly what it says on the tin; archiving fursuits from near the start of the furry fandom's legacy

2. https://californiahorseracinghistory.neocities.org/
Again, exactly what it says on the tin! The history of horse racing, but specific to the state of California.

3. https://sffheritage.neocities.org/
A site archiving different 'weird' sexuality systems present in science fiction/fantasy media. (Warning: Adult topics, of course! But it's in an educational tone.)

dreampuppets.com.au
It's the homepage of a blacklight puppeteer group. Basically they paint the puppets fluorescent, and cover the puppeteers + background in black cloth, so it looks like the puppets are the only thing on stage. The website is super janky but that just makes it more endearing to me.

To be honest, I feel most of the sites I appreciate are niche, but not niche in our old web revival sphere, haha!!

On top of my mind I can think of a few that I go back to and just... idk, feel things.

https://town.neocities.org - you scroll through a town at night! there's some atmospheric music. it makes me feel very good.

Only Sans - omg it's sans undertale! the shrine!

https://nukafurbs.neocities.org/ - this person just really likes furbys and it's a vibe.

i am screaming. This is the best thing anyone has ever blessed my eyes with. I am in love. Thank you for sharing this with us.

AND THEY'RE FROM MELBOURNE?? Howling into the wind, viscerally.

Mine is game console photography. I've only found a few sites so far:
https://im-baby.neocities.org/3dsphotography
https://7nonsense.neocities.org/photos#DSi
And some posts on Tumblr.
I'm more into DS photography if anything, but the gameboy camera has its own charm that I enjoy.

I really love maze sites! They're super spooky and there's a lot of ones made with Neocities that are really impressive.

Wired Sounds for Wired People is already very well-known, so I wanna give a shout-out to this Evangelion-themed one that's somewhat similar:

https://sbbu.neocities.org

I also really like shrines and fanpages. I'll never forgive fandom wikis for taking them for us.

https://horrorgifs.neocities.org/ (autoplaying music warning) - I absolutely love this site. I really love these types of gifs, and the way that the webmaster embraces the style of them into the site itself as well.
https://geocities.restorativland.org/Area51/1378/ (autoplaying music warning) - I found this site while browsing The Geocities Gallery and I loved reading it. It's about vampires, both fictional and factual. This site also led me to another favourite.
http://www.opa.com/vampire/ - I needed to use The Wayback Machine to read this one, but I love it. I read as much as I could. Maybe I just find vampires to be really interesting? It contains information on the history of the "real" Dracula; Vlad Tepes (AKA Vlad the Impaler).

This one seems like it's more well-known, but there may be a few of you who haven't seen it.

https://chocoboranch.neocities.org/ - a catalog of a whole bunch of merch themed after chocobo from final fantasy! i'm sure it's not comprehensive but it's quite impressive for one person considering how obscure some of this stuff can get if you're mainly an english speaker. i've actually submitted a few images to it for one of the soundtrack CDs!
