Personally, I loved the pokemon games, I replayed Pokemon Emerald over and over again. And I loved the Shaman King series for it too, I don't think I beat either of the two games but they were cool, kind of platformer-metroidvania like. I also used to like some sort of Lord of The Rings strategic game, but I don't remember much of it now, so it might be nostalgia speaking. And while not my favorites, Advance Wars, Fire Emblem and Mother 3 deserve some honorable mentions ≽^•⩊•^≼
i never grew up with the gba or many gba games, despite starting out with a ds lite, so i didn't get into the gba scene until quite a while later! i still haven't played too many games, but for now i think my favorites would have to be sonic advance, super mario advance 2 (aka yoshi's island lol), kirby nightmare in dreamland, and klonoa empire of dreams :0 i haven't properly played pokémon emerald yet but i loved oras, so i bet that game will be up there with the others once i do play it haha
I didn't even hear about Klonoa game for GBA before, that's really cool to know! I will check that one out, there is something charming about this series for me.

Oof, I put many many MANY hours on the GBA emulator. So much that now I want to buy a purple GBA, because that was the color of the emulator's icon haha
Pokemon Ruby will forever be my favorite. I played Emerald eventually and loved the battle frontier and stuff, but Ruby was my first pokemon and my first GBA game, so it's near and dear to my heart. To this day, it still feels like home. I have a save file still and a couple times a year I open it just to walk around, listen to the soundtrack, defeat some mons, etc. There's no stronger nostalgia for me than the one I feel towards that game. My favorite pokemon spin off for the GBA isn't mystery dungeon (I never liked the controls on this console) but pokemon pinball: ruby & sapphire. Absolute BANGER of a game that should've gotten a sequel for each new generation. Arcade games rot my brain (affectionate) and I love it a lot. At the beginning of the year I took a trip with almost no signal and downloaded it on my phone to pass the time. I'm still addicted to it lol
There's also many games that I didn't get to complete but I still loved! Wario ware minigame mania, The legend of zelda minish cap, final fantasy tactics, kingdom hearts chain of memories.
It's a console that I want to eventually come back to and tackle my backlog like, hardcore. There were way too many iconic games on it.

ive never had a gba unfortunately but i still was able to play some gba games for myself! my top favorite gba game has to be pokemon mystery dungeon: red rescue team! i was so obsessed with it as a kid, that i almost finished the game! but my save file was deleted and i never played again until recently </3 even now, its such a lovely game. i really like the real time battles and getting to play as a pokemon! my second favorite is rhythm tengoku. not to brag or anything, but i've got a superb in every rhythm game B]

the GBA is my favorite gaming console!!! my favorite game on it would definitely have to be the legend of zelda: the minish cap (which is also my favorite game in the LOZ series in general) but i also really enjoyed pokémon ruby/sapphire/emerald and red rescue team! i'm more of an "original game" person than i am "remake game" person, but firered/leafgreen were pretty good games as well. the gba soundfont is my absolute favorite as well, there was a special crunchy kick to the bass that you just couldn't get on the DS and whatnot.

for me, its got to be hamtaro ham-ham heartbreak! hamtaro had a real charm to it, that i still cant help but love even years later. its nice to see it on this thread so many times!
i can still visualize the haunted mansion area and the theme park area to this day
Oh my gosh, I can't believe I forgot to mention this gem of a game in my reply! I absolutely agree that it still holds up well to this day! I remember spending hours in the little dance mini game thing.
