I made a writing web app where you grow a plant by writing toward a goal!

Sooo excited to share this prototype with you guys. I recently learned enough JavaScript to be dangerous, and have finally managed to create an idea I've had for ages!

Do you like Written? Kitten!? Do you like plants? Do you like writing? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, I have just the thing for you!

Features:

• Set your own session goal
• Write in a nice, big text area
• Grow a virtual plant while you write!

I'd love it if you guys would try it out and let me know what you think. I'm also open for feature suggestions! (And if you have any suggestions on how to implement said features with JavaScript, I'd be eternally grateful if you could point me in the right direction  )

Edit: I have updated the link to be the "deployed" version, which I will update when I have tested any changes and such for bugs. As a reminder, please remember to save your writing off-site every so often until I figure out how localStorage works! :D

i love, love, love this! it'd be super cool if you could pick the type of plant! with maybe a mystery option. this is great, though. i'll definitely be using this for some essays i need to write :)

This is really cool! Do you think you can set a randomiser for the flower graphic? It could be really fun to get an unexpected flower!
