What would your life look like in the Pokemon universe?

Ever since I was a kid I imagined myself as a mysterious traveller that flies around the world on a very powerful Altaria... Honestly, that view hasn't changed much at all. I love travelling, and since that lifestyle is almost encouraged in the Pokemon world, I would really enjoy to do just that.

Maybe I would consider getting Torracat and Sneasel now, since they became one of my favorite pokemon, but something about travelling the world with a single pokemon that is your most trusted friend really speaks to me still.

I'd wanna do whatever those NPCs do in their one room houses. Idk what they do for a job besides tell whatever 10 year old who barges into their house some useful info and hang around their pokemon but that sounds like the life! chillin with my minccino

I think I would draw a lot of Pokemon. Maybe I would take a stroll by the sea and sit down with my Oshawott by my side and draw him on my sketchbook... I'd just live my normal life, as I am right now, but I'd have lots of Pokemon with me, keep them as pets, upload pictures of them on my site, write about them, watch videos and read about them...
I wouldn't be a trainer, I'd be far too scared to engage in any battles. I mean, in real life, my dog is pretty lazy - maybe my Pokemon would be the same, hehe. I would take them with me on long walks through the city
If I did have a team, I feel like I probably wouldn't have my favourite Pokemon like Magnemite or Reuniclus. I think my team (team? Can someone who isn't a Pokemon trainer have a 'team'?) would be Buizel and Oshawott, cuz I love otters so much, Dachsbun cuz dog... I'd have an Eeveelution, maybe Flareon or Vaporeon. Probably Vaporeon. I'd have a lot of water types because I live near the river and the ocean.
I can imagine I would also have lots of stuffed animals and T-shirts, stickers, whatever of cute Pokemon.

Not sure if I'd be a trainer or anything but I'd definitely have a bunch of water-type pokemon and maybe be a rancher of some kind. Could be fun to imagine a huge water park filled with Totodiles, Wailords and Ludicolo.

i think i would be a casual trainer, maybe complete the gym circuit but ignore the elite 4 and champion. probably would be into shiny hunting as well, since i already do it often in my free time now. my team would probably be switched around a lot, but the ones who would return to being on my person the most would probably be:

• weavile
• metagross
• hydreigon
• golisopod
• crobat
• flygon

outside of pokemon trainer stuff, i would probably be doing a lot of the same, just with some pokemon to keep me company. might travel a bit more too since pokemon can make travel far easier than it is in reality

• chandelure

my favorite types are water, fairy, ghost, poison, dark, psychic, and bug.

If pokémon were real I'd definitely have a Gallade but without a pokéball. I think I'd like to live in that city from the Detective Pikachu movie where everyone is just friends with pokémon without pokéballs. So if I lived there I'd be really good friends with a Gallade and some other pokémon as well.

I'd also like to be good friends with Hoopa but I know that's kinda unrealistic.

As for my job, I think I'd still go after computers, but I also see myself having an interest in pokémon psychology (or maybe the science behind their powers?). Would be nice if I had a job that mixed these 3 things.

It probably wouldn’t be too different from my normal life... I’d be working on movies at Pokestar Studios in Unova! Definitely with my pal Snivy.

Someday I will think long and hard about the in-universe lore for my characters. In general, I would be from Johto and eventually settle in Unova because I love the big city bustle. Of course I would love to have a Zapdos but I think it makes more sense for me to chase it around like Eusine does with Suicune. I think I would be very big on travelling all the regions and not have much of a stable profession.

i think if my life was in the Pokemon universe, i'd probably not be very different aside from what i have for comfort, lol
i kinda thought of this a while back when i played Violet, and i kinda realised my life wouldn't be all too different, but i'd have a fluffy noodle ^_^

i'd probably not use pokemon for battling, rather just coexisting and some as friends.
though my team would look something like this:

• Furret (as a pet mostly)
• Sylveon (probably use for self-defence if i have to, though i have a stronger one as well for that)
• Garchomp (main for self-defence if i have to)
• Alolan Raichu (because i go places)

i don't think i'd want a full team, so four is enough for me   
though, i'd probably intentionally choose most of them to be in Ultra Balls, with Garchomp being in a Quick Ball.
edit: if i got teleported in my exact location right now, i'd be rolling a dice on whether i'd just end up in a total ocean or not lmao
but i think for the region i'd love to be in, it'd likely be Kalos or Sinnoh. i love their climates, plus they're just a vibe in general.

i think i'd be a pokémon artist! i'd have a mimikyu, ivysaur, tropius, and maybe a cloyster as well :3

as a kid i imagined myself as a sort of traveling freelance artist who would fly around on a tropius and visit regions all around the poké-world. i could also see myself working part-time at the cafés that they have in newer pokémon games

If it's the game world, I'm taking on the Unova league with my trusty pals!!! I'd try to become a normal-type gym leader (or at least a prominent normal-type user since that's my favorite type) and spend my weekends challenging the battle subway with my pokemon outside of my mono-normal team :^)

My partner 'mon would be Cinccino since I'm in Unova, but I'd eventually get my hands on a Furret, Bewear, Ditto, Maushold and a few other normal types for my mono-normal team. My regular team would consist of Serperior, Crustle, Reuniclus, Chandelure, Cinccino and Liepard or Zoroark if I can find one.

If it's our world, I think I'd end up like a lot of pokemon NPCs who only have like 1-2 pokemon that are either based on their profession, location or are just pets. I think I'd end up with a Dedenne, Ledian and maybe a Politoed or wingull...

realistically i'd live in Galar or Kalos, though Sinnoh is really lovely, and Johto isn't bad either.

my main lineup would be Lilligant, Furret, and Sylveon - mostly since i don't like battling. but probably just do my own thing, not fit into any of the predefined trainer types already.
probably live out in a rural area OR live in an apartment in a major city, but tuned/styled to how i want it to be. i'd grow some plants just for some cutiflies and stuff :P

i wonder if me being a hybrid would change too. like, instead of a fox, would i instead be a nickit or a vulpix or a ninetails hybrid? maybe a fennekin or a zorua?

I'd probably be a wanderer of some kind. If we're going game lore here, I think I'd reside in Sinnoh, despite Alola being my favourite region. I would be reluctant to fight anyone if it's unnecessary, instead attempting to reason my way out of conflict, as I don't want to be the reason for my pokemon getting hurt ::<

As for my partner, I think I'd have an Absol (nicknamed Alpheratz, or just Alph) - I love animals that are treated as malevolent. they're just trying to survive! I also think it fits my current personal "theming" pretty well, as of now. As for any others, I might try to raise a Larvesta (nicknamed Caph) because if I don't include a moth on my team I will explode. A Snom/Frosmoth (nicknamed Enif) or a Vennonat/Vennomoth (nicknamed Vega) would also work! I would likely have a Hisuian Zorua (Saiph?) if they were still in Sinnoh. Maybe if I got isekai'd 200 years into the past instead, I guess?

I might act in service to Palkia and/or Lunala. I might even confuse them for being the same deity! (whoops) I like to think I'd carry a lustrous orb around. If it (and other Weird Legendary Artefacts) can be sold for a measly ten-thousand pokedollars, getting my hands on one might not be as difficult as it seems, especially if it's one of my primary goals.
