What would your life look like in the Pokemon universe?

Let me reach back into the nooks and crannies of my mind and see if I can't remember exactly how I made my Pokémon OC that I self-inserted into every fanfiction I could.
I used to ship my character with James from Team Rocket, lmfao.

Alright, so I would most definitely live in Agate Village in the region of Orre (from Pokémon Colosseum / XD: Gale of Darkness, two of my absolute favourite games in the series).

To me it just has always looked so peaceful. Out of any video game town/city, that's where I would want to live, but I'd probably want to travel to other regions, too - especially Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Alola.

I love the idea of being a contest coordinator like May or Dawn, but to be honest, I hate being the centre of attention, so I don't know if that would exactly work out. I'd probably still be a writer, forever-student, and aspiring teacher in the Pokémon world!

I would love for my trainer class to be something like a Dragon Tamer, but more than likely I'd be something closer to a Super Nerd, a Pokémaniac, or a Collector.

My team of Pokémon would undoubtedly be: Shiny Umbreon, Salamence, Sableye, Weavile, Salazzle, and Blaziken. A bunch of my favourites, but still decently balanced if I were challenged to a battle!

honestly, the pokemon world is so very different from ours (i.e. kinder, more magical, more advanced, more whimsical) i imagine my life there would be quite different from my life here. or maybe not--hard to know how much of it is nature vs nurture 

i've made a fairy-type, library-themed gymsona in the past, but i don't know if, realistically, i'd become a gym leader. i'd be more likely to be a coordinator. or just doing what i do here (working in the arts and freelancing also in the arts, with the occasional foray into academia) but with some sweet 'mons around me!! though i guess being a coordinator IS working in the arts...

i digress. i love what @cirro brought in about legendaries being worshipped. i'm only moderately spiritual in this world, but i think i'd have at least some reverence for legendary pokemon. maybe cresselia. or celebi. or meloetta. or all three!

as for my team, some mons i think i'd have and why...
+ clefable would be my ace. cleffa's exactly the kind of pokemon i'd have been gifted as a kid, cute and pink and quiet.
+ being a lifelong cat person, i can see myself having an espurr or meowstic! or maybe espeon... or both...
+ togetic/togekiss would probably be on the team too, because i find it to be a very charming 'mon and t knows fly, so i'd be able to travel
+ lucario would be a fun break from the pattern of psychic and fairy types, and i've read a lot of headcanons about the lucario line being a great companion for autistic folks. as an autistic person, having a pokemon that can vibe check a room where i absolutely couldn't would be amazing.
+ gardevoir is another pokemon i adore, and i think it'd be a natural fit for the team!

i also like to think i'd grow up around some other pokemon im very fond of. my father used to be a tree planter and i could see us having a turtwig or something as a beloved pet.

finally, i have... no idea where i'd live! maybe lumiose, because i'm a weird, artsy, city slicker type? but i could also see myself in one of the small, cozy, fairy-focused spots, like ballonlea or laverre. maybe i'd retire there.

good question. i would probably be of the “musician” trainer class, and i would live in artazon and take part in the city’s art festivals. my battle style will involve fairy, ice and ghost-types that know a lot of dance and sound-based moves
