My option wasn't on there, but I grew up playing on ZX Spectrum and SEGA Genesis. My fave was of course, the Genesis and also the SEGA CD and 32 X!

My first console was a Xbox 360, I grew up playing alot of the old call of duty games, modern warefare, and minecraft

I have lots of pleasant memories of playing with my neighbor all day and night.  :ha:

I miss the good old days  :notgood:

Despite it being way before my time, I grew up playing the SNES! My childhood was somewhat weird when it came to Nintendo home consoles because I was born into a house with an SNES, was completely oblivious to the N64's existence, had a friend with a Gamecube, and got a Wii when I was around 8 or 9. Because of this, I can get into new SNES, GC, and Wii games, but for some reason I always struggle to play N64 games. NES games too.

my first actual console was a DS Lite. But I wouldn't call this "my childhood" idk how old I was but most of my childhood wasn't in front of a screen in general. I went outside all the time. (which honestly is amazing, I am happy to have such fulfilled memories) The first games I actually played were online browser games, Panfu included. That was honestly "my childhood", if anything.

If we count my first console in, again no idea how old I was... then I grew up with Nintendo, Mario. Mario Kart and Mario 64 were my first console games ever and I played them very intensely. Like very... very intensely  :ohdear:

My first console was a pink DS. However, my main one as a kid was a blue DSi and a PS3; I still have the latter. I had various Wiis throughout my childhood, and vague memories of using my Dad's PS2 at some point.

I was always a nintendo type of kid. I am was and always will be. However, I never really was a console user and instead had my early childhood with handhelds. I remember playing on my DS and playing games like Mario Kart DS, New! Super mario bros, Super Mario 64 DS. Those were all the Super Mario games I had including other games that were licensed from movies such as The Simpsons and Toy Story 3.

Although it kinda sucks that I never got to play the Wii console and play games like Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Bros Wii. As I often see the big nostalgia for those games and I wished I experienced it myself.

However it's not with a lost since I got to get my first actual home console, The Wii U! I had so much memories with that console and I had so many games for it. Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario bros U and so much more. I definitely miss that era and I wish I putted more time to it and sadly I don't think I can boot up my Wii U up ever again since it's long out of use from abandonment such as collecting dust. And what's even more tragic is that I think all my Wii U games were thrown away in the trash by accident while I was moving to a new house.

With that being said, nowadays I own a Nintendo Switch and I have a gaming computer which I'm using to write this replay right now.

oooh, i like this topic!

i started off with the nintendo 64, although i have vague memories of the snes beforehand but not enough to really say one way or another whether i actually spent time with it. the n64 was really my big childhood console and i LOVED playing pokemon stadium, jet force jemini, super smash bros... so many really memorable games on the n64 that were really part of my childhood history. i've even played banjo kazooie for quite a bit, although i've unfortunately never gotten a chance to beat it.

afterwards, the gamecube/ps2 both became a substantial part of my teen years. the ps2 was originally my brother's, i think, but he became more of a pc gamer and as such i've played more and more of the ps2 and gamecube both, depending on the game. for the gamecube, my more memorable games are pokemon colosseum, pokemon XD: gale of darkness, super smash bros melee, kirby star allies, metroid prime 1 and 2.. the list goes on, really. luigi's mansion was also a big one for me for a while.

for the ps2 era, this is where i got started with the devil may cry series and played a bit of dead or alive. i think my most memorable game series with the ps2 started with xenosaga though, and that continues to be one of my favourite series to this day! criminally underrated series and it's such a shame to this day it hasn't had a port.

i really miss those days...

My first console was technically... A Sega Pico? Which was a weird thing that flopped in the West, it was shaped like a laptop but the controller was like a tablet pen, and the cartridges were picture books. You could turn the pages for different activities like mini games, drawing, or educational content. I played one of the Sonic games via emulation a decade ago, and it's not really... Good... If you're over the age of 6, but it's interesting.

After that I had a N64 when I was 7-10 that I was stupid enough to trade in for an E-reader (complete scam, it's not equivalent to a whole console at all), then a PS2 when I was 12-15.

I never had a console growing up, so I just ended up playing on whatever my friends had. mainly a DS my friend would let me borrow. I don't remember well, but I think my best friend has a playstation? I didn't play video games growing up so much as watch other people play video games.

My first console was a family Wii we got towards the end of the Wii's life, when I was still pretty young. All I ever remember playing on it during that time was Mario Kart (which I was horrendous at), but later on I started playing Mario Bros Wii and Mario Galaxy, among other games. Then, for Christmas of 2016 (after the Switch was released---I was upset about that!) I got a Wii U! I played Mario 3D World, Splatoon and Mario Kart most of all---I got the Mario Kart bundle. These days, I still have it and mostly play Minecraft on it. There's really nothing like the console editions of Minecraft!

i might be too young for this poll, mine was the wii and ds <///3

Same!! Or well, my family used to have a Wii until it broke and we ended up being an xbox family instead. Somehow, I ended up sticking to being a nintendo guy and still am to this day though ^^

My first console was the NES that I got for Christmas 1988. I got the Super Mario/Duck Hunt/Track Meet combo, Skate or Die, and Monster Party.

That was the beginning of a life long hobby obsession.

i was lucky to have access to a few consoles as a kid! because myself, my brother, and my dad were all videogame fans, i got to grow up with the ds, wii, xbox 360, and ps2 :] i think it's the reason why i love collecting videogame consoles today! :D

i didn't have access to too many games on many consoles other than for my ds since i had a flashcart for it though, which is probably why i don't collect the games themselves and prefer flashcarts and homebrew-
