ToM: Tournament of Melonland - Instance 4: Hyper Rogue

Description


Hyper Rogue is a roguelite where you roam through places that follow a logic entirely different from our world. A fantasy-game par excellence! Travel through different, non-euclidian planes and collect treasure - but be careful: If the inhabitants of those worlds checkmate you, your journey ends ;).

The game might seem  a bit hard to get in at the beginning, but it is easier than it looks - and well worth your time!


How to get it?
HyperRogue can be freely downloaded at https://zenorogue.itch.io/hyperrogue
You need Version A130a. Linux Users need either to compile themself or play the game via Wine (or get the identical, but precompiled Steam Version).


Tournament

Target:
Collect as many orbs as possible in classic mode. Highest score wins.

Joining:
No need to register beforehand. Just play and post a screenshot with your score, either on the end screen or the highscore list.

I will then update the table in the first post in this thread.
Feel free to submit multiple scores! I will always use your best, and it helps to build some tension and competition :).

Duration:
Submissions close as the forum closes on Monday, the 04.03.24. I will update the results and call out the Winner on the Tuesday afterwards.

Woah!! This is brilliant! I've never played anything like this before; It looked simple at a glance but the way each world has unique mechanics gives this so much depth!

The only negative I have is that the perspective is a bit disorienting 

I managed a score of 58 in 666 turns!

Glad you like it :). Yes, this game is great - I also took much fun (and inspiration) out of it, but I'm absolutely not sure what my best score was until now; I will see how far I get tonight :D.

There are various options to tweak the graphics, but I never experimented much with them.
