I use he/him pronouns and I am in my 20s. I'm not new to webcrafting itself (been doing it for over 7 years now!), however I'm new to the community surrounding it and would love to get more involved. My current active website is my Ball Pit! I am an artist of many varieties, especially challenging, limiting, or unusual mediums. Webcrafting is a fun one because it can be equal parts artistic and technical, often feeling like a puzzle at times. I can talk for hours about engineering, philosophy, nostalgia, and the importance of the inner child. I love the web revival movement as a way for people to take back what made the web, the web.

My favorite HTML tag is <div> for its versatility, my favorite CSS properties have to be the shadow family (text-shadow, box-shadow, filter: drop-shadow). I loveeeee my CSS shadows :3

I joined MelonLand today after seeing someone mention it in a Reddit thread about the defunct YesterWeb project. I've been workshopping a short video about the web revival and figured I might as well join in.

I have a small reputation online for archival and preservation junk, especially in the lost media sphere. I run a small YouTube channel named Ok So... and direct an animated miniseries called Rec Room. Wanting to get involved more in making stuff like I used to and particpating more with creative and social communities. Getting kinda tired of the same-ol water cooler talk about preserving stuff and pop culture history (but if anyone wants to chat about that I'm still happy to do so.)

Eventually I got into coding from scratch and making mobile apps too and some graphic design even. Hello!! My usual usernames are RiQuY and Ricardo-Stryki, it has been a while since I've been looking at this forum and now it felt like it was time to join the party  I've also been trying to get rid of the usual platforms like Twitter or Reddit, imo they have been a bad influence for my mental health and since I moved to smaller decentralized platforms and the indie web I feel happier.

I'm a web dev professionally and I like to enjoy my free time streaming while I play indie games, I love short story driven games and anything that feels "different". Got access to the forum like two days ago, but got a little bit carried away and spent hours customizing my profile lol
But ye, I am always open for chats, I do enjoy tech stuff, especially when it comes to refurbishment and sustainability (not happy with current tech industry). Open-source is the best source 

I also enjoy media, into which you can really sink your teeth when it comes to analysis, no matter if it's good or not. The worst thing the art can be in my opinion is being neutral, bland and boring, with nothing to say and nothing to show. Of course it's not that simple, but I am not going to write my whole manifesto in a welcome post unless...

Anyways, will be glad to hang out here with you beautiful people
