Hi hello everyone, it's nice to be here!

I'm kathleen / windit, I'm in Aotearoa (New Zealand), she/her, 30s,

newly re-discovering the indie web after being pretty offline and completely off social media since pre-Covid, so it's nice to have found a space like this. I'm a filmmaker by trade but am also trying to completely leave the film industry, so I'm exploring other artforms and avenues of expression, like web building! I also make and distribute zines - I help run a zinefest here and am part of an Anarchist bookstore.

The house I live in at the moment (with a bunch of queers and the world's cutest puppy, Sunny) can't get cellphone reception, so we just got a landline phone connected yesterday. It's prompted an accidental old-tech revival; we also just set up a B+W laser printer and I'm currently working to break my Nintendo 2DS. I don't use a smart phone and it's getting harder and harder to exist in society without one, but it's nice to remember that all the old technologies Still Exist and we can breathe life back into them.

SO that's the buzz I'm on at the moment. I made a geocities shrine to Final Fantasy games Back In My Youth but haven't touched html in a longggg time, so will be taking inspiration and tips from all of you.

I'm Choko, a somewhat hobbyist gamedev (ignore that it's been 5 years since I put anything out) that been getting into personal website building.
I mainly learned of this place because of a friend who has an account. Which made me think to give it a try as it might be a nice place to help me be more social bc I'm pretty shy and normally keep to myself

Very much a newbie at coding (semi know html, css, and python kinda), my whole neocities is one big wip as any work I've done I haven't pushed it to the public site yet but I swear I'll make it look better soon...

I have my own neocities website. It's really raw, but i try to update it regularly. It's very dear for me, and I love seeing the way my place is slowly growing  .

I've joined the forum because I would love to explore ppl's personal websites and projects, and have a chance to share and talk about them. Also I'm #1 nature intusiast, and overall found out about this place 'cause of Natural Camp guild (waiting when I'll be accepted there ).

I go by he/they/she pronounces (preference by order descending), I'm transmask nonbinary (and lesbian (I love my girlfriend)). Also I'm from and live in Ukraine, so uhhh I may talk shitty sometimes, but ik that usually people understand me.

For now I try to survive by doing commissions to pay rent and academic debt (yeah also btw I'm an artist), working on my website in free time.

  Hello hello - I've been lurking for a while but finally bit the bullet and made an account. I'm Florence, my pronouns are she/her (they/them is also fine), and I'm a writer! Predominantly of interactive fiction, but I've got some poetry publications to my name and am (very slowly) working on a novel.

I learned HTML/CSS by using it with Twine and Ink, and quickly became fascinated by it in its own right. There's this wonderful, snappy elegance to webcraft that I really enjoy. My website is nominally an online portfolio, but it's also a labour of love - with a couple of sections that are a bit more 'personal'.

Excited to hang out here! I'm already tossing some ideas around for my room on the everyone site...

It has been a very long time since I have used forums so I might be a little rusty. I am an artist and enjoy creating stories, I am working on a pretty large one right now.

Hello all! I've been lurking the forum for a little bit (as an antidote to doomscrolling social media) and I finally bit the bullet and signed up.

I....am unsure of what else to put here. I've been mucking about with web stuff for a decade or two at this point, in my mind it's the software equivalent of having a hot-rod car constantly in pieces in the garage. My current project is getting my head around the curses programming library to make tiny custom terminal applications.

we're a system that has been doing html and css on neocities for around 2 years, we still aren't the greatest but it's so much fun!
one of our favorite parts about indie web is joining webrings and feeling connected without the use of conventional social media! :D
social media makes our anxiety go crazy so we're hoping that using a forum might feel more grounded and less scary...

our favorite html tag is probably just <div> but in terms of css properties it has to be display: flex, we LOVE flexboxes.

the freedom to be silly and colorful! i see web creation as another art medium in a way. it'd be cool to find a way to integrate my art with my sites somehow, i currently have a couple of ideas floating around in my brain
