Cursive Users!

i was taught cursive in primary school (and they actually didn't let us write in print!), but i stopped writing in cursive in fifth grade. and writing this made me realize i had actually kind of forgotten how to write in cursive!  definitely need to practice it more

So I've been practicing my cursive lately with my fountain pens, and I feel pretty confident in it! I still don't think it's perfect, but at least I'm writing a bit faster now. Here's a few of my practice pages:

Oh!! We& write in Cursive a lot, especially for Journaling or for anything personal! I can't quite recall when we& learned it, or rather when this brain learned it, but I know it was sometime around our& preteen years, maybe? I also remember that someone told us& we&'d be really good at cursve as a child, because of our& letter "e".

We& do tend to swap between print and cursive every few months, but cursive is kinda like our& "default", and even trying to print usually ends up cursive anyway because certain letters just make more sense in cursive.

I don't believe I have any recent pictures of my handwriting (despite the fact I still actively write in cursive) but it's been exactly the same since pre-COVID, so an example from within the last half-year shouldn't hurt:



I believe my cursive-learning journey started when I was... 6? Mind you, I was home-educated right up until university, so I'm not sure how it was taught to everyone here in schools, but I recall my mum taking me through this cursive book a couple of years after I'd learned to write full stop. That book's title was something along the lines of "Cursive F", but a brief search only really shows results for writing the letter F in cursive, so I'll assume that's the name of the particular style covered. The book itself was cool enough, using Bible verses to help you get used to all the letters, but I remember really disliking having to switch from more print-style writing to cursive for a long time... nowadays, I couldn't imagine writing without it! Mind you, I have made some alterations to my cursive based on reader feedback (e.g. capital J looked a bit weird, difficult to distinguish between lowercase m and lowercase n), but I believe it should still be relatively recognisable
