Hi everyone! I don't know what nickname to use, but as my site is cozy.nekoweb.org, you can call me Cozy here for now.

My interest with making websites started in the mid 2000s with Piczo (drag-and-drop sites). Around the same time, I learned basic HTML from Neopets. I always loved the idea of customizing your own space, so learning about the web revival and indie web has been exciting so far! It's been fun and nostalgic browsing through small sites.

I just recently started working on my new small, personal website. I had kind of left it for a while, but now I'm back on the task. Today I've worked on a completely new layout that I haven't published yet. The plan for my site is posting my artwork, resources, cool links, media recommendations, etc. and I can't wait to learn more about how to do this.

Other hobbies that I have are listening to music, gaming, virtual pets and drawing.

It's nice to meet you!

Hi, Cozy! Welcome to the forum.  :seal:

I love that you mentioned Piczo! In the mid-2000s it was my introduction to building websites as well! I like writing my own HTML now, but dragging and dropping was a lot of fun back in the day. Great memories were made.

I'm sure we'd all love to see your website once you have it all ready! I'm also curious to see your drawings.

I hope you enjoy your time here.   :4u:

Thank you for the welcome!

Oh you used it as well? Piczo was definitely so much fun back then. I have so much nostalgia from it, and still it inspires me today. But you're right, I like building with HTML and CSS too. You get a lot of control that way.

Thanks! I'm satisfied with the new layout so far, it looks a lot more polished. I'll publish that in the next coming days and once everything is up and going, then I will upload some artwork and content.

Hello and welcome to Melonland Forums !

Glad to hear you're taking time to work on your website again. Sometimes we make updates everyday, sometimes we don't post at all and it's okay. It's fun to see that NeoPets had an influence on a whole generation and made them learn about HTML.

Yeah, I'm really happy to start working on it again and actually getting somewhere this time. Love this community already! It's so cool to see people coming together about their love of web creation. I can't wait to have a more completed project to show.

And absolutely, Neopets had a huge influence on so many people's creativity. I still play it a bit, plus a Neoclone called Grundo's Cafe. The HTML guide and how-to-draw sections really helped me out back in the day.
