Enter my world between four walls
Quaint and small and full of balls
Colourful art prints from A to Z
Childhood covers on my bed

If my mirror could look back at me
Here is what she would see
Breaking cutting drooling trying
Painting drawing screaming crying

Things I made and moments I shared
Where I have been happy but also scared
Between these walls is where I rest
Where I don't have to act my best

like water on a simmering flame,
while the day gently warms
the cool rock upon which
the dragon sleeps.
a small boy
stripped of dignity by others
holds his sword high to the heavens and smiles.
the son of giants,
he is small as a mouse;
courageous
in the face of adversity.

Baby assassin snail
So cute so small
A tiny but fearsome predator
Boundless happiness in its minuscule shell
And silly lil' nose

Slenderman

Slenderman is a scary guy who lives
in the woods where he stalks children.
He lumbers lithely while the forest thrives.
His vorpal arms stretch out to draw you in.

Now you may think that he is really thin,
but he is ripped as a tree underneath.
The other forest fay are his dear kin,
but the fire he made blasted their heath.

If your fair blade you must wear'ly unsheath,
Remember that iron is your savior.
Steel has not the rawness to bequeath
death upon that man like hair upon fur.

Strike him fairly, strike him well, strike him true,
so that his power is not upon you.

Munching fruit and dancing in the corner
Oh corner where are your shoes
You do not wear them because you are a space
and spaces do not dance gracefully.
You do not understand me, but I imagine you
Corners don't imagine anything
nor do they munch fruit.

Oh no, I stumbled into
a thread demanding how
I am to write my message,
and I have to write it now!?

I'm told to write a poem,
but I'm not sure what to write.
Should I make it a haiku
or a more iambic type?

There are so many topics
that it's hard to pick & choose.
Stories, spiders, stitching, stars,
or the new Beetlejuice? 

Though I could write anything,
the choices froze my thoughts.
Though I have been many things,
a poet, I am not.

i must do! you must do! do this right now!
expecting my face to drop its frown
onto the floor; smashed! i implore
