the chris thread............

hello chat ! i am extremely hyperfixated on this oc of mine specifically so im making a thread here about him specifically to post art relating to him or norman or any other related characters or infodump or whatever else i feel like making !!!!! ive been inactive here so this thread will probably get me to post more semi frequently AND i get to be annoying about my favourite oc

lore tldr for him is that his main story is a psychological horror about him in a timeloop dying over and over again while doors / rooms that didnt exist before and should be physically impossible appear in his house and lead to an infinite labyrinth of rooms in a psychological deconstruction of his character [ so like , silent hill or spookys jumpscare mansion but it takes place in a timeloop lol ] , however his other story/backstory-ish being a slice-of-life[ish] that documents the daily life and relationship of chris and norman , with chris not being the protagonist/pov character of the story but rather norman

norman is chris's best friend* who's completely unaware of the whole timeloop thing going on and has always been supportive of and tries to help chris even to his own emotional detriment , having let him move into his house when he was homeless and been emotional support through his various moodswings and mental breakdowns . i'll be posting about him here too because i think he's pretty neat !

chris's story is quite heavy and has these topics in there . im still probably gonna try to keep things generally lighthearted though since sillyposting about chris is very funny and also offsets how depressing this stuff is

and also im currently waiting on the items for making a custom doll of him to arrive too so ill post the process of that if i remember to take pictures of it ! im also making an itabag-ish [ not sure if stuff about original characters would count but whatever ] of him because i am oh so normal about this man and also its really funny so again , if i remember ill post pictures as i add to that >:3

AHHHH MAJOR UPDATE!!!! so a while back i ordered a keychain of chris which was my first time ordering something of that variety ever + it was of Chris so the keychain was pretty sentimental to me ! unfortunately, a few months ago i ended up losing it somehow and i couldnt figure out where it was 

But today I found the keychain again and im so happy!!! Look at it!!!! Wahoo  !!!!


Definitely gonna be putting this on my itabag where it'll be safe from falling out again!

WAAAHHHHHHHHH I LOVE THIS!!!!! the only major thing that's off is the hair texture but thats okay ! Everyone makes mistakes / doesn't know things sometimes!
If you want a good irl reference for Chris's hair it's aaabout a 4c texture [albeit heavily stylized ] , here are some images of that for reference :-]


[ on a side note , the sheer diversity of hair types and hairstyles is very fun to look into i think! human diversity in general is fascinating and makes me proud to be a human I think ]

made a tiny little pixel thing of chris on my phone for the Funsies ! Fun fact ive always wanted to make a game of some kind with Chris but alas I do not have the coding/gamedev knowledge or resources to actually do so , i only have rpgmaker which I have minimal knowledge/experience with rn and renpy which i haven't tried making anything in yet lol

i have considered adding like , extensive semi interactive Chris sections to my website which is kind of like a game but again im not sure if i have the knowledge to do that

ive decided to post one or two chris drawings/doodles a day here with accompanying fun facts about the character because i am Bored and I want to ramble into the void and also develop him more

fun fact number 1 is that chris is a massive cat person. like a HUGE cat person he absolutely loves cats ! he regularly feeds and takes care of a stray colony of 'em pre timeloop and tends to visit it even during the timeloop since it's generally a calming/comforting place for him . i feel like in a hypothetical good ending scenario where he gets out of the timeloop and actually goes to therapy and stuff he owns at least one cat and has completely renovated his living space specifically to accommodate it . like he would be the type of cat owner who absolutely spoils their cat

day 2!!!! [ im late in terms of site time but its still wednesday for me so shhhh it counts ]
fun fact number 2 is that chris and nor live together in a house in the woods that Norman inherited after a relative of his died and left it to him ! the house is pretty cozy but also has really unsettling vibes due to the whole Dead Relative thing and the house being a good ways into the woods in an already extremely isolated town. chris moved into a guest bedroom on the second floor and has made himself quite at home :-]
