Your clock is really good, the information blurb at the top-left is helpful if someone hasn't heard of Swatch time before, and the whole page looks concise and easy to read with links to your main page if people are interested in exploring that.

My website is https://gizmoswebsite.neocities.org/. I've been working on it for the past few months, but I only put it online tonight. It's sort of an anonymous journal-blog where I post whatever is on my mind as well as reviews of media I've been consuming.

Have at it: https://vanitas-vanitatum-omnia-vanitas.net/

It's so straightforwardly and simply a clock, I have no idea what to say about it! 100/100 at creating a clock, I suppose.

It's very barebones. It's not to my taste but I can't say there's anything wrong with it either. I feel like whatever you were going for, you managed to get it. I haven't noticed any technical problems.

I love bare-bones websites, though I still found a few things to nitpick (I also love criticizing things):

  • I don't know if that was what you were going for given the old-school design, but I would drop the deprecated <font> and <center> tags for CSS (Neocities pages won't load on ancient browsers anyways because of its https connection).
  • How about setting a max-width of 80ch or so for your posts so that individual lines don't get stretched out on large/ultra-widescreen monitors.

I really like the computer theme and a lot of the effects you use (eg: how the site loads line-by-line). It's clear that you put a ton of time and effort into the site, and everything is fairly easy to navigate. The blue bars on top of your sections clash with the rest of the design in my opinion though, and the bottom half of the scrolling text on the top left was cut off for me (I'm on FireFox, so it may be a browser compatibility issue).

Thank you for the feedback! I'll make sure to set the max-width property, tbh I hadn't thought about what it would look like on an ultra-widescreen monitor. As for the <font> and <center> tags, they aren't there for retro purposes, I barely knew any HTML when I started creating the site and relying on them was easier than dealing with CSS. Eventually I implemented divs into the regular posts since I didn't want to go through 15+ pages whenever I wanted to make a small tweak, but the main pages have remained static so I never got around to fixing them (the directory pages are mostly just copy / pastes of each other). I'm hoping to rewrite them in the near future to be more sustainable though because I feel a lot more comfortable with CSS than I did a few months ago.

as much as I truly do love the aesthetics here, the filter, text size, and glowing font combo makes it a little difficult to read. I don't have any eye strains issues, but I imagine this would be pretty bad for someone who did. the scrolling bar in the 'about' page under the 'interests' heading is quite literally impossible to read. Im on chrome if that could be impacting anything (?).

the filter otherwise makes the colour palette of the site nicely cohesive, and gives it a warm feel, somehow. big fan of the design choices overall!

My website is https://gizmoswebsite.neocities.org/. I've been working on it for the past few months, but I only put it online tonight.

I have to agree with JuneBug, there's not much to criticise here, if you were aiming for that bare-bones style, then you did well! maybe a site map would be a good idea, as a quick suggestion? there's no back/home buttons on any pages (as far as I could tell - maybe I missed them) and it would be just a teeny bit more convenient for viewers.

Im open to feedback for https://eggmothsoup.neocities.org regarding any page! I know some pages don't have backgrounds yet, and there's a broken webring - Im already working on both of those. ^^

oh, and the swatch clock works perfectly fine! no lagging, no issues loading, really nothing I can think of to work on there. it's a good clock.

My site is: https://pieceofthepie.online/

I've been working on it for the past few months. I have have the typical personal site pages like links, a blog, contact, and a few games and tools that I hope help me stand out or keep people coming back. The thing I try to do is keep a page free of JavaScript when possible.

I feel like I'm starting to struggle to come up with new pages but maybe I don't need any at the moment? I know I have a lot of Media Reviews that I need to write up still. I have heard some pretty positive things about my site, so I'm eager to hear what about what I should change!

My biggest complaint with my site is that it doesn't look 'professional' enough?

I like your site, havent looked at all Pages yet, so my Criticism is not all encompassing.

I find the Content part is a bit squished and a lot of empty space on the sides. Making the Center Content maybe a few Percent more in the width might be good. At least on my Monitor (2256x1504).

The Toybox / Toolshed which I assume both use the Toy box script don't work. I don't see anything there. Might tho be an Issue my side.

But Design wise I really like the Website, the Animations are fitting and feels excellent (the buttons for example) and the Icons are really nice.
I dont know what you mean with 'professional' but for me your Website looks vary cool.

Now to my Page, it has recently seen a big redesign again, but I don't know if I am going to keep it.

Quite easy to navigate, but the Music page loads a bit slow At least on mobile. I really like the design, though. Can't say much else because I can't really take a look at anything else until I'm on PC.

Anyways, my site: https://ay-3-8910-online.w10.site/

That's pretty odd that none of the games/toys worked for you! Each page actually has its own script, so I'd expect at least one to be working! You should see a warning if it's due to JavaScript being disabled as well,,, send me a message and maybe we can figure it out!

I appreciate your kind words! I don't know what I mean by professional either, but think I just need to spend more time tweaking my CSS so that the components look more integrated or a little more themed overall.

Now to my Page, it has recently seen a big redesign again, but I don't know if I am going to keep it.

Your site is cool too!! I'm curious if you have a way to show the old design?

I noticed a couple small things when exploring you site though (FireFox, 1920x1080)
  • Hovering over Navigation Links causes the rest of the nav-bar to move with the animation
  • The Shows/Movies page has "Music" as its header
  • As another person mentioned, the Music page takes quite a while to load. Not sure if you can control that anyway, but maybe a little message would give people a headsup not to navigate away too fast.

I love the animations when hovering over the nav-links and the blogposts!

My site: https://pixelverse.nekoweb.org/

Love the Sky background!

First thing I saw on the landing page was the bullets on the far left side... I would recommend removing those (if it was not intentional, of course).

Going into the site, I also really liked the floating boxes with Art/To-Do/Changes. The floating text is pretty cool as well. My only other recommendation here is to to add some style to the link when hovering, and maybe change the cursor as well, so that the person on the site knows when there's a link to click  :seal:

Yes the Music page loads a bit slow as it relies on calling 2 APIs to get my Recent tastes from Listenbrainz and get the Cover art from the Internet Archive. Which can take a bit. I am considering statically generating it every night as an alternative, just haven't written the Script yet.

That's pretty odd that none of the games/toys worked for you! Each page actually has its own script, so I'd expect at least one to be working! You should see a warning if it's due to JavaScript being disabled as well,,, send me a message and maybe we can figure it out!
Not the Individual Games, they seem to work Perfectly. But when going to the overarching Toybox and Toolshed pages only the gif "Warning JavaScript Ahead" appears. The page just looks like it should have some sort of Index for all of your Toys besides the Navbar. If that wasn't the Indent I am sorry for the Confusion, but I would recommend adding some sort of Index of the Toys / Tools there.

Your site is cool too!! I'm curious if you have a way to show the old design?
I am currently working on an archive page, one of the older Iterations should be avalible on pc.crazyroostereye.de . Isn't the previous Iteration but on of my past ones.

Like the Aesthetic, very pink. The one thing I noticed is the Buttons, they reacted only on the Text not on the Button themselves. Maybe changing the order between the button div and a tag might help there.
Also, the Shrines and Gaming Buttons In my Opinion should be in the Navigation with the rest of the Nav Buttons. But that's a Stylistic choice so who am I to say.
