hi im new here im a little lost and overwellemd and im wondering where to go

ive been way to busy with school and work and ive also been really lazy but im still determined to learn html5 and Python Im wondering how you all feel about me and my website and im also wondering if you have any no brainer advice you could give me to make my site better im sure I made a lot of stupid deciscions in the process of creating my website also I host my website on neocities is that a good idea or is neocities not a safe place to keep my website

Hello and welcome! I also host on Neocities, so I can assure you it's a safe site
Just checked out your site, I think it looks great!! I only looked at the interface, but if you want I wouldn't mind going through the code later as well. I like the style and build :3

The forum and web revival as a whole can be a bit overwhelming, so don't rush yourself around here. Just click through some posts and see what piques your interest! I'm no master web developer myself, but I know a good bit of the basics if you ever have any questions. I'm in school too so I get how difficult it is to balance webdev and schoolwork

But yea, everything looks awesome and feel free to PM me if you're curious about anything. My website isn't the cleanest, but feel free to go through its code if you'd like!!

Also, I do a lot of photography so hopefully, I'll have that set up on my website soon its cool to meet a fellow 18-year-old webmaster out in the wild im very glad about that I don't have too many friends, lol ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

Code looks pretty good to me!! Only thing I'd recommend is to keep all your internal styling within one <style> tag. So instead of having two sets of style tags, just move the second set inside the first. Hope that explanation makes at least a shred of sense, I wasn't too sure how to explain.

Man, my advice would be to stop caring so much about what people think about you and your website. This is the small web, my friend, it's not social media. Your website exists, first and foremost, to make you happy. I can't even really look at your website because the harsh colours make my eyes hurt. Does that mean you should change it? Heck no! (Maybe put an eyestrain warning somewhere though.) It doesn't matter whether other people like your website because it ain't for them. It's your own treasure.

As for where to go and feeling overwhelmed, that's totally understandable, this place is a huge rabbit hole to explore. But it's just that, a place to explore. Don't fret over learning everything there is to learn within a set time frame, just click on links that make you go, "Huh, I wonder what that is." Let your curiosity be your primary guide, have fun with it. Since you're already here at all, you've already got the spirit, you just gotta trust yourself.

Now, because I've got the curious spirit too, what is it you'd like to make with Python, my friend?

oh well, that was sweet of you to say thank you. I really want to make a video game with Python ive had the vision and the story in my mind for a long time, and also, Python can be used for web development, and it can probably help me get a job
