I've always just used Firefox

I don't think they're as committed to privacy as in the past but I don't really feel like switching

I do use the Brave search engine though

I use Firefox a lot, while my parents use Chrome. They doesn't seem to understand why some people would use different internet browsers when they could just use Chrome, but thankfully they respect my decision.

I also use Vivaldi, but not as much as often as I wish. Pale Moon used to be my go-to alternate browser for a couple years since I got into Neocities, but stopped using it upon learning that its creator is a prick as a person via the Yesterweb Discord server.

Oh yeah, I use both Firefox & Vivaldi for Mastodon by the way.

I use Firefox like I always have (apart from that time it stopped working on my old laptop). I just like the fact that the top bar is so thick and I can pick a background image for it and I can modify it so that the tabs are on bottom. I do understand there are some problems with Mozilla.

On phone I use Chrome, it is what it is. I tried other browsers but they were too slow.

On Desktop, I use Librewolf, which is a fork of Firefox that changes settings to make it more private, and removes the little telemetry Firefox has. (Which sadly, it has, I believe to Google?)

On Android, I use IceRaven, which is another privacy-focused fork of Firefox, but for Android, and adds support for more add-ons!

Finally, on iOS, I just use Firefox, because iOS is a very closed OS and doesn't allow for "unauthorised" apps unless I jailbreak my iPad. (Which I'm not prepared to do unless I'm certain it won't brick it)

I guess for completeness, for the SmolWeb, I use Kristall on desktop, Lagrange for Android, Elaho for iOS (Which is, funnily enough, built on Firefox), and I use Syncterm for BBSes.

I use OperaGX just because it's really gamer-friendly honestly, a lot of shortcuts and a really nice simple layout. Also it lets me grab and see people's codes to examine them haha.

I have been really enjoying using Opera GX the past few months. They highlight some cute indie browser games on it too!

I've always preferred Firefox because it's pretty efficient, has all the extensions I need, and is alright in the privacy department. I'm not really familiar with that many browsers, but I keep Chrome and Edge just to check my website for compatibility.

Right now I'm using chrome, but I'm looking to step away from it soonish. I've tried Firefox for a bit but I really don't like the latest UI, so I'll either try to customize it or find another browser!

If someone wants a reccomendation for android, I suggest Mull, which is a privacy focused fork of firefox. You cant ever be sure if they follow up on the privacy promise, but I can say that functionally its a lot better than the default chrome. Most of all in the way that it lets you install extensions such as ad blockers. Only problem for me is that due to a bug you cant put some searx search engine instances on it but oh well.

If you can look at and change the source code, you can and should verify that. If it's closed, don't use it, because you shouldn't trust proprietary software to keep empty promises.

I use Chrome on my personal PC and for my work PC I use Microsoft© Edge. There is no good reason for me to use Microsoft© Edge on my work PC other than keeping a strange sense of electronic separation between work and personal life.

Does anyone know if there are any halfway decent browsers that don't have the modern 'flat' design, or how I could customize one to look like it?
