Let's give the Gift feature a little use, shall we?

I. The Stand
As you stroll through the Fun & Forum Games Zone, you come across a little stall... a picnic table with a starry tablecloth on it, hosted by a Rapidash and a Galapidash (Galarian Rapidash).

The Rapidash is black with fiercer eyes than usual, and her fiery mane roars in rainbow colours... the Galapidash also has her mane in rainbow colours, and her eyes look gentler than average. If you were to peek at the underside of the table, you could swear the two Pokéunicorns are joined together like a Catdog, a Pushmi-Pullyu, or a Girafarig...

But instead you glance at the top of the table, where you can see a good bunch of Pokémon GIFs moving around, walking, spinning, sleeping, among other motions! They look like fun... perhaps you'd like to have one of your own?

II. "What is this?"
I love the Gift System here in the Melonland Forums, but it's true that it's not very used... so as a way to give it a little life, I decided to start a little "workshop"!  A lot of people seem to like Pokémon, so I thought it would be a good start. But if I come across other cool sprites... we'll see, we'll see! 

So basically this is a thread where you can request a Pokémon and it'll be gifted to you by yours truly, so you can show everybody who is your favourite! 

III. The Rules
"Don't forget to read the rules!" You look at a little board by the side of the picnic table...

• Only ONE Pokémon per person! Don't be greedy and choose wisely 
• First come first serve!
• Give us some time! I'll try to get them done asap but understand I can't be making these all day!
• No modifications to the sprites. I'm sorry, I'm working on what's available right now, thus currently I can't recolor or add a bow to your sprite. Perhaps in the future, but don't count on it for now. You can request shinies or alternative forms tho!

IV. Request Format
Finally, you get to request! Take a look at our catalogue and pick the Pokémon and animation you like the most! I'll make it into a GIF and gif-t it (HAH) to you 

Of course, goes without saying these sprites aren't actually mine! I didn't make them, they were created by amazing talented artists you can check if you click on a Pokémon and then on its credits.txt link. I am using these sprites under their Acceptable Use Terms (use in profile pictures, banners, emotes, etc.)

V. FAQ

"Nobody actually asked us anything, we just made up these on our own!"

My friend and I both love Vulpix, can we request the same Pokémon?

Of course! This is not a cliqué. Doubles are accepted! Just tell me if you want the same animation or a different one.

Can I gift Pokémon to other people? We'd like to have two/three/a full team.

Of course you can, I never claimed ownership to the idea! This was made to give the Gifts feature a little activity, after all. But I'm just one person... or two unicorns... anyway, the more the merrier! 

Can I request something that's not a Pokémon?

If you give me the spritesheet, I can try to make it work. And if I like the idea, maybe it could become a new Workshop altogether! 

I want this animation but it looks wonky, can you fix that for me?

Sure! It's just a matter of tweaking a few frames.

Tell me a little about why is this Pokémon your choice: Toxtricity are just little goobers. They "chug stagnant water" (Shield Pokedex entry) which is so British core, and they completely embody punk rock which is such a cool aesthetic. My favourite member of my Shield team.

I've come across a few things I didn't consider when making your request. First, I wasn't sure if you wanted the full range of rotation or just one angle: I picked out two:



I should ask for that in my request form! I'll go change it up.

And also, one thing is, gifts must be 32x32 and Toxtricity is taller than that  . I tried to resize them to fit, but... I'm not sure if it turned out well  .



If you don't like it, feel free to delete your gift and tell me what you'd like to have changed (including the angle). I'll try to remake it!

I love it so much! Very happy customer, I think it's even more special that I didn't pick the rotation, and the resize is adorable.

Tell me a little about why is this Pokémon your choice: mimikyu has been my ultimate fav pokemon for a long while now, i'm a big fan of their design and characteristics and i overall just think theyre one of the best pokemon out there.  i've collected a lot of fan merch and pokemon cards of mimikyu, so i consider myself a relatively hardcore mimikyu fan!
