The oldest and most obscure game series I've ever heard of: Knytt Stories!

So the backstory is that I got interested by DS homebrewing and hacking and thanks to that interest this is how I would eventually discover this strange game series like several years ago.

Theres surprisingly very little leeway to encounter the game by sheer accident. For example on youtube you sometimes get suggested some strange and obscure games like melon playground which have a conspicuously low view count, never more than 1000 views from personal experience. Sometimes old, dead and forgotten games get the treatment like Happy Wheels or I wanna be the guy, do you people remember IWBTG? it popped up a couple times for me on youtube recent-ish!
Well all that never happens with Knytt Stories and I ain't sure why. The videos also have a low viewcount, but no matter what youtube doesnt wanna show this game to anybody.
What is Knytt Stories anyway?
It is an highly moddable artsy platformer. It features a #femaleprotagonist and is distributed like most older games on their own websites. The website that hosts the game is called egomassive.

Regarding your question why you won't get it recommended by YT: Youtube (and basically any other algorithm) needs a certain sample size to know who could like a certain video. If a game is so obscure that basically nobody views and barely anybody searches for it, it won't pop up. Nowhere.
