So yesterday there was a Nintendo Direct (specifically for the Switch 1, and not the Switch 2) and it was so fun to get one again! I miss when they were super common.
What was everyone's favourite reveal? Any thoughts you want to share on something, positive or negative?
There is another direct next week for the Switch 2, what are your predictions?!
"Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remaster" might have to be bought by me! I have never played Dragon Quest but damn, I'm a sucker for HD-2D. It looked beautiful, I hope it sells well and proves to the industry that there is a market for HD-2D in a time where every game feels the need to do 3D and usually fail at it.
"No Sleep for Kaname Date -- AI Somnium Files" and "RAIDOU Remastered: Mystery of the Souless Army" both look like games that I would really enjoy watching someone else play. I still haven't finished my saves of Persona 4 Golden and Shin Megami Tensei V!
"Patapon 1+2 Replay" looks so cute, I wish I was into it. I've watched plenty of Patapon essays on youtube and it seems to be such a great memory for a lot of people.
"Witchbrook" is something I've had on my radar but I'm still not sure if I'm playing it - I'm going to have to wait for proper gameplay to decide.
"The Eternal Life of Goldman" is so charming. I'm a big sucker for hand drawn video games but sadly it doesn't look like something I would enjoy actually playing.
"Rift of the NecroDancer" DLC was shown but the concept of the game scares me so I didn't even notice they announced DLC I thought it was just gameplay.
"Tamagotchi Plaza" might be a hit on MelonLand considering
Tamanotchi! I never played any Tamagotchi Connection games but it seems to me like they are cashing in on all the money Hello Kitty Island Adventure made.
"Pokemon Legends Z-A" had some cool reveals in the direct. I'm definitely excited to find out more about this battling system and whether or not reaching Rank A ties into the main story or a side story.
"Rhythm Heaven Groove" will no doubt be an instant purchase for either me or my girlfriend. We've been playing the DS game for the past couple of months and I fear she is addicted...!
"MARVEL Cosmic Invasion" looks radical! It's by the same people who did Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge so I have no doubt it's going to be a hit.
"Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream" being announced feels like I'M living the dream. I first played Tomodachi Life on my 2DS christmas 2014 (only 12 years old!) and it's stuck with me ever since. I check in on my Miis every now and then. I got just as obsessed with Miitopia, completing that on 3DS and Switch. I'm so unbelievably happy with the news! I hope they stick to their word and add same-sex relationships!
edit: there is more than i mentioned, these are just the interesting ones for me
