Share your Website Art Galleries

Hello 

I wanna share & discuss art galleries on our websites!! As an artist, it was one of the first things I wanted to do after my homepage, and it developed and improved quite a lot over the years. This snapshot from jan 2022 is very different, the pop sound is funny tho. My current Gallery is done using photoviewer js plugin and flexbox. Very convenient, easy to use setup. Especially being able to view the full art in a popup window, being able to zoom... etc. was very important to me. I love this feature.

It's my favorite gallery layout so far, showing some of my favorite pieces that I've done. A lot of recent art as well. I sometimes clean up pieces I don't like as much anymore, or throw in another one that like atm. Its pretty much a summarised art-highlights gallery of sorts. I have a separate archive site where I throw everything in.

I've a photo gallery on our website.
At the beginning, I'd used Melons Gallery Maker to create it - actually, it was this tool that enticed me to publish my photography - and later wrote a own script that creates the library dynamically with php (this makes updating easier, as I just need to upload the new pictures to the folder without replacing the HTML part).

My photos are snapshots from my everyday-life that I do with my dumbphone, that creates a lousy quality that give them a somewhat eerie touch; yet I try to create a distilled, idealized reality with them. I don't do any sorting or curation (except deleting all images that depict identifiable people, a few exceptions aside). If anyone wants to check them out, I recommend to use the random function to dive in; my style (and the quality of the images) changed dramatically over the time, and the first few aren't the most exciting ones :).

my gallery's made of html, css, and love. and also a whole lot of bashing code snippets from the internet together caveman-style until it finally sparked something alright. im not great at coding so im decently proud of it

ive been putting things i think look alright there, regardless of finish level (but with a bit of bias towards stuff with transparent backgrounds just because it looks better)

Just dropping in the say (for anyone who does not know) the Art Hub here has an embeddable gallery generator you can find on your "My Artworks" page! It depends on the ML server so I don't recommend it as your primary art archive gallery - however if you plan to upload art here anyway and want a small easy to use gallery for your site it might be a good option to know about 


For my gallery I use Melon's Gallery Maker (thats me!) ~ (most people here know it, but if ur new and have not found it yet it might be what you need) - this one is recommendable for personal art archives because its self-hosted. It has issues uploading to neocities sometimes and needs some bug fixes, but it mostly works and covers the basics if you cant code your own yet!!

Like I said, preeeetty rough! I think it's working alright, though. I have one page finished. I like the idea of having custom looks to the pages for characters with a lot of cosplay photos...

I still need to remake Toriel's page so that it's not using a template anymore. Also, probably gonna wanna work on a page for Ralsei.... It'll get worked on eventually!

I don't have a dedicated art gallery, but my HSBC fanpage has a section where I put fanart. That's most of what I make these days, anyways...

This is my gallery! Hand coded with love :]
To make the main body of the gallery I used the "display: grid" property. It's what I'd recommend to anyone who is fine with using squared thumbnails, otherwise flexbox would probably work best. My gallery is also responsive to screen size, so it's mobile-friendly!
If anyone wants to steal my code go ahead! I don't mind

EDIT: I already finished the code to make a "filter" option to filter artworks based on type (fanart, character design, illustration, landscape, etc.) but I'm lazyyyy so I have not uploaded and tested it yet

I have a gallery index which I am slowly filling will sub galleries. My sub galleries range across different subjects both original art and fanart. Please heed the mature rating warnings I have placed on some of these if you plan to look through.

This is my Gallery, while I originally made this website to ramble about myself, I eventually decided to share my art here instead of Twitter.

I learnt how to make a art gallery after inspecting the code of ArtFight, it was a lot of trouble since I was still a newbie at HTML, but I was quite proud of the results.

I have to add a lot of improvements, like I have to split my art into 18 images per section, or else the webpage will lag badly. I also changed from iframes to some wacky JS stuff, and somehow it loads a bit faster.

Originally, when you click on the art, it opens a new tab showing the full picture. However, I decided to build my own gallery thing using JS, so when you click on the art, it opens up a window with both the full pic and some caption, you can also go to the next/previous pic using the buttons below. I was quite surprised how far I've come with coding.

On the topic of drawings, I initially didn't think of posting my art here because I'd thought it would be too much work. However, I completely lost motivation to post art on Twitter (I can't please the algorithm, and many of my art, especially OC art, barely get any attention), and felt like if my art won't be noticed anyway, might as well post in somewhere more at home. I enjoy posting my OC art here, and pretty sure my whole website is revolved around my original content. I get really happy when people notice and talk about my OC stuff on my website, like wow I finally found people who care about my little guys.

I feel like posting my OC art on my site also motivated me to draw more. I would be like, "I have a gallery, and I want to fill it up with pics!". It's really fun looking at my galleries and see a bunch of silly doodles, like my OCs as cat loaves.
