Cannot use text-decoration on a button

So, i wanted to use the text-decoration property on a button, but alas, nothing works.
I have tried :

• Styling the buttons (obviously)
• Wrapping the button tag into a div/span with text-decoration property
• Adding !important at the end

Does anyone know a workaround?

you can maybe try wrapping a <p> inside the button? so something like this

<button><p style='text-decoration=underline;'>whatever text</p></button>

Another way is to use border-bottom, but that only really works if you don't already plan on having a border for the button itself.

Actually, i tried wrapping an <a> in the button, too… But i didn’t think of wrapping a <p>.
