so basically every time I press the shift tab on Discord it opens the help page on a new tab, really weird right?
I looked at my key binds (in Discord) and the help page is not binded to just shift its binded like ctrl+shift+H witch is really odd bc it also brings up the help page when I press F1 so its a useless key bind but getting back on topic it will open the tab when I press the shift key and nothing else and that's just not sopussed to happen and the H and ctrl keys are fine bc they arent being held down at all along with the shift key too weirdly enoght I tested it in google docs and nothing is wrong all my keys are responding correctly its only happening on discord
Before you tell me to change my key binds I already looked that up and you can only reassign key binds to different keys; you can't turn them off anymore, which is totally buns
so far I realize I can do one of two things
- I change my key bind to something dif, meaning another key is going to be giving me issues
- I download Linux and use its ver of Discord instead (I was already planning on switching, I'm actually waiting for a USB to come in for that purpose, I bought from the Sandisk website, I promise I'm not a dummy
at first, I thought this was an issue with my keyboard breaking bc of cleaner getting into the keys but that cant be the issue if I'm able to type this all out without my H key or shift key giving me problems tho that could be part of the issue it just wouldn't be the only thing causing it and I was only doing that bc my keys are so flat and tiny that I didn't feel like I could remove them very easy I don't need help bc I can prob fix this on my own but I would like to know what could be causing this to happen bc its really odd and it seems like its only really an issue with discord and not my key board but IDK mabey It is my fault idk
EDIT: I actually fixed it The solution is linked below but anyways, you can't change key binds or override them, but for some reason, making a new key bind with the problem key fixes the issue
