Honestly.. I think if neocities went offline the spiritual heart of the web revival would evaporate.. its actualy a little worrying that so many great sites and the community that connects them all is so tied to a single site and the mysterious owner Kyle who none of us actually know much about
This! Currently, I am hosting my website on Nekoweb. I think it's really, really important that there are multiple hosting services that people are using in case one of them runs into trouble at some point.
I think for me, the worst change would be if you couldn't use the explore feature on Neocities or Nekoweb. That's because right now, I can't use it! When I'm working on my school computer, I just avoid that section of the site because my school only blocked Neocities after I started using the explore feature to go through sites. It's a silly quality of life thing, but I honestly really miss it. It's really fun to just go and see who just updated their site.
I'm gonna subvert this too, and say one thing that I think would be really awesome! I think I would really enjoy it if I saw more forums for stuff I like. It's nice to find places on discord, but I wish I saw more places on the internet I could just surf into and lurk! The fact it'd be way less likely to be blocked on my school's computers definitely helps...
