Cloud Appreciation Day

Today - if you are indeed reading this today-  is Cloud Appreciation Day! (12th of September) A day when it's a good idea to look out and appreciate all the good things that clouds bring, like rain, and shade and when you cant see anything because your at the top of a mountain...

Clouds are very useful and worth appreciating  :seal:

Maybe you'd like to report any good cloud sightings or cloud related media here? (please do not make silly cloud hosting jokes tho)

I met a elderly women (who by no chance was aware of this awareness-day) today that showed me a cloud that she said would clearly resemble a face in the sky. I saw it  :grin:.

I don't see it  :omg: but there's great contrast!

The skys here are a bit grey today! But I observed this gathering of clouds! (I also submitted it to the World Cloud Atlas for today)

Oh, I might have been a bit unclear - the attachment is unrelated to the cloudface, it is there for the play of light that was mesmerizing on a evening one and half a year ago :).

It might be for my colorblindness, but do your clouds have a somewhat turquoise undertone?

Of all the days to spend stuck inside! :sad: I did not see any good clouds today but for cloud related media I would like to submit my favourite mug (mochaware from Boscastle) and my blog page (sacrificing load time out of dedication to high-res clouds).

Glad to have discovered this international event. Yesterday (which was cloud appreciation day for me but I did not know it) I had a glitch-in-the-Matrix moment when I saw a really unique cloud in the sky - puffy with a cone on top - and then just below it I saw an identical cloud. o _ o
