Making stickers of YOUR OCs!

A few days ago I got my hands on a mini thermal printer and some sticker paper. I've been obsessively printing random images on my computer, but now I'm starting to run out of pictures. 
So I had an idea: what if I made a sticker board, featuring YOUR characters! 

If you comment with a picture of your OC/sona, I'll print it onto a sticker and add it to the board. When new stickers get added, the image below will update.

Some things to note:
> The printer can only print stickers in greyscale. Images are converted automatically, so you can still submit colour images.
> Characters can be in any style, but I've found that solid lineart produces the best printing results.
> Alongside your image, let me know if you'd like a transparent or solid white background on the sticker.
> For transparent backgrounds, the printer treats white/brighter colours as transparent.

Well, would you look at that, I happen to have made a collection of headshots of my OCs with solid lineart not too long ago.

Pick whoever you want for your board   

If whoever you like has a color that prints too light for you, tell me and I'll send you a tweaked version, okay?

I think transparent background and white interior, similar to the originals, would work best, but as you see fit 

That printer sounds like fun, is it small? Portable, even? Did you find it at a craft store? I found a printer at a craft store once, but I was a little unsure whether to buy it or not. I am afraid of running of special paper for it in the future, when the store no longer sells it

I make 3d art rather than 2d line art but I'd like to see how it can handle my renders. I've fiddled with greyscale curves so it doesn't look muddy.

Tho. If the printer prints only black and white and not grey it might look awful (or maybe interesting...)

These were too good for me to pick just one! I decided on three that I thought had good variety.
I wasn't able to do a transparent background with a white infill (it requires two difference paper types :/), so instead I cut around the stickers to fit the character's shape. Hope you like 'em!

It is small and portable- it even runs off USB rechargeable batteries! It was one I found online following a recommendation from a friend. I won't say which brand just yet, because I want to make sure there aren't any major issues I discover before I go recommending their products.

Oh my gosh!!!      They look so cool!!! I'm flattered you picked not just one, but THREE of them!!! I'm glad you like Millie and Roxy   I was worried their designs were either too unfinished (for the former) or not quite developed to its full extent (for the latter), so I'm very flattered 

I'm a fan of your approach  I started giving all my website graphics a "sticker border" as to prevent their black lineart from blending in with the black background of my website, and your approach reminds me of that. Makes you want to color in and everything!

And makes me want to get one of these printers for my own! I should get back to the store and really check out the specs... my worries is what am I gonna do with the machine once I run out of its special paper and the store no longer stocks its refills...

Question: Do you mind if I add the photo of your stickers on my website?

Thanks to the magic of dithering, it worked! I chose a white background for this one because the dark colour pallet was harder to contrast against the wood.

Cheers! I'm a fan of the sticker border style as well- I do that for a lot of my digital art.
That paper supply is a bit of a concern. However, I hold out hope that if that ever happened, I could just buy a different company's paper- surely it can't be that different?
Feel free to use that photo as you so please!

Looks Sick. I had a tiny feeling that they were gonna apply a threshold instead of dithering but thankfully they didn't do that.

I have this art of my characters in some sanrio inspired outfits! its okay if you dont like sanrio, i will look for something else, but i think those could make some nice stickers. feel free to choose between those.
