i just made a sword quiz

my lil humble first topic of my silly quiz. it's just 9 questions but i'm really excited about the swords i drew. mwahaha. the quiz results look like this:



i was wondering if the overall colors are too dull/dark. i have my browser set to dark mode almost all the time and have been having a hard time with the bright colors, so revamping my pixel art to be brighter has been something i've been aiming to do. mostly, i have been battling my colorspace issues for a week now trying to figure it out!!

ANYWAYS, if u wanna take the quiz, it's @ https://mudflower.earth then click the dagger labelled "blacksmith" on the bottom right corner (i use iframes unfortunately, so the direct link will look odd), and speak to the blacksmith!

i kinda like how understated the colours are--they're a little muddy, but it kinda adds to the ~vibe~ imo. especially next to some of the more colourful and saturated stuff more common to some circles and spaces on web revival.

This is so cool!! I love your site btw :)  Only recommendation is that you make the nightlight button a little bigger? I'm probably just a doofus, but I struggled through the quiz w/o realizing there was an option that let me see everything :P

It's a very cute quiz, I like how in-universe the questions and answers are. One could try roleplaying their own DnD charas taking the quiz and see if they end up with a sword that actually fits their stats xD

The questions were good, I felt like each of them had an answer that I related too quite closely! For the site itself, I found the frames a little small, but I also understand that's very much an early 00s style, I think the rest of the design is really perfect for that style too.

The pixel art on the sword cards is really top notch!

Seconding this! A good quiz should both feel like all the answers you give are authentic and real to you... but also that at least some questions feel hard to answer: like, it's hard to choose your first place choice over the second place choice, and you have to think for a second before settling.

This quiz does that, and that's great.

thank you for the feedback! i was worried about that. idk, maybe it's a krita drawing program thing, but things always look brighter in that program and on my website, but darker on some websites. it's seriously driving me insane lol. i'm trying to figure it out still

Does anyone have links to other quizzes for different weapons / armor / game classes? It would be fun to take a bunch of quizzes to come up with a character to use in an rpg game like Dungeons & Dragons.
