Hello! I have come to bring you TELEPHONES! 

Here are all the phones I could find in Venice, Italy on the 24th of September 2024, as far as I could tell one claimed it was temporarily out of order while the others were working!



On the 25th I visited Bologna, Italy and observed two very similar phones within the bounds of the city, mostly in the university area! Surrounding them appeared to be quite a lot of student chaos, so these specimens were difficult to acquire!

I love how every country has its own ubiquitous but totally different payphone design from the next. Never knew there were so many kinds. I have to see if I can find one from over here...

For a while I was getting annoyed with my smartphone and considered throwing it out the window and getting a pager instead, and using public phones. Doesn't quite work, in retrospect.

Where is this, if you don't mind me asking?

I had a multi hour delay at Denver international airport, I wandered around until I found an entire concourse that was completely deserted. I think the whole airline had gone out of business a long time ago.
